II. PERSONA
Themis' most distinctive trait is his unyielding righteousness. He does not understand the why or the how but he feels compelled to smite evil, no matter the danger he may face while doing so.
This instinct often translates to him charging recklessly into battle without caring about his own wellbeing. Having lost his Ancient power this can only lead to two outcomes: a hard-earned victory, or a crushing defeat that brings him on the verge of death.
Due to his mission (see background) he has forgotten his name, remembering only his duty and title, and with it he also lost most of his feelings, leaving him devoid of emotion and of a proper identity.

III. HISTORY
As an Ancient
Themis was born on Etheirys when the world was still unsundered, making him an Ancient. He was still young when he was chosen for the seat of Elidibus in the Convocation of Fourteen, the governing council of the star at the time. He was constantly in awe of the other members, among which there was Emet-Selch, that found his behaviour embarassing.
During his time on peaceful Etheirys he was sent to investigate the troubles of the prison known as Pandaemonium. Here he met what he assumed to be a familiar sent by Azem who was actually the Warrior of Light that traveled back through time.
As the star fell into disarray during the Final Days he was chosen to become the heart of the Primal Zodiark, a being born from the souls of half of the Ancients which surrendered their lives to stop the end of the world.
As an Ascian
As one of the few survivors of the Sundering (a catastrophe during which the Ancient Venat split the world into fourteen shards) he strove to rejoin all of the Shards of the world to have the world back as he and his companions knew it.
After the defeat of Lahabrea at the hands of the Warrior of Light, Elidibus wanted to try and convince the chosen of the good motives of the Ascians, letting him believe in whatever he wished. Meanwhile he was also manipulating the Holy See of Ishgard, hoping to cause another Calamity.
He later summoned the Warriors of Darkness from another Shard and pit them against the Warrior of Light and his companions, ultimately failing in making them kill each other. At the same time he was also recovering two dragon eyes that were given to the extremist known as The Griffin to summon the Primal Shinryu, still in the hopes of causing a Calamity and thus a Rejoining.
After the defeat of Shinryu (controlled by the Garlean Viceroy Zenos Yae Galvus) he recovered the body of the suicidal prince of Garlemald to use it for his own purposes. In this guise he fought the Warrior of Light and defeated him thanks to an ill-timed summoning performed by the man known as the Crystal Exarch that made the warrior unable to fight. The chosen was rescued by Estinien Wyrmblood and later met Elidibus again on the First (shard).
After being forced out from the Viceroy's body by Zenos himself, he felt the defeat of Emet-Selch and decided to travel to the First to end the Warrior of Light once and for all. Possessing the body of the Warrior of Darkness Ardbert he confronted the Warrior of Light (and Darkness?) and assumed the form of the first Warrior of Light (see Final Fantasy I) to engage in combat. He was defeated by the power of the crystal of Azem gifted by Emet-Selch to the WoL and his aether was absorbed and confined into the Crystal Tower where they fought via the magic of the Crystal Exarch.
He would then help the Warrior of Light travel back in time by manipulating the Crystal Tower from inside, consuming the last of his strenght, vanishing....forever?
IV. AUTHOR
PLAYER ALIAS::Paladin
OTHER CHARACTERS::None
ROLE-PLAYING EXPERIENCE::Close to zero
HOW YOU FOUND US::Paradox lol
NOTES FOR CONSIDERATION::I am bad at this srry
ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE:: After all of those years spent fighting, consuming himself down to the very core of his being... death seemed fine. To finally know peace even though he had to leave the future of the Star to "Him", felt soothing. He was alone, did not feel Zodiark or his fellow Ancients anymore but still the end felt like better closure than he would have ever hoped. He just used the last of his strenght to send the Warrior of Light into the past through the prison that was the Crystal Tower, and he was vanishing. Forever.
What the Star was facing was unstoppable even for someone as powerful as himself, but not for "Him". As he fell deeper an deeper into unconsciousness he knew that everything would be fine. If only...
"If only I could see their smiles, just... one more time... just one before I..." .
I... who was that "I"? He could not remember. He only remembered his mission, his title. "Elidibus. That is all I am... the heart of a dead god. I... I failed them all...". Uncertainty and regret started to slowly seep into his dying soul. After all he was just an empty husk. How could someone forget even his own name? Did he even remember the loved ones that he was fighting for?
It was a long time ago but he was something more. But then he was consumed by his mission, his promise. He was there, slowly losing the last of himself and it was not as peaceful ad he had hoped.
"I beg you, Warrior of Light... do not fail our Star. Do not fail. Not like I did."
As the last of him was fading, he felt warmth. Like the Sun was shining on his pale skin again, like it was breathing new life into him. He had a body again, and before the dark took him again, he felt gentle waves of water wash over him, and saw an even more gentle and familiar face in the distance.
