Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
Freyra wasn't sure how long she was in that haunted forest. Days? Maybe even a week? It became obvious very quickly that those woods weren't anywhere she'd ever been, and she'd been all over the Planet. Needless to say, that alone raised a lot of questions, but the most immediate one was "How do I get out of here." Ultimately, between the hostile and ominous atmosphere of the forest itself, the numerous evil spirits and dark monsters roaming them, and the simple fact that she had no clue where she was going, finding the answer to that question proved easier said than done. She managed well enough thanks to the numerous survival skills she picked up when she was still a hunter living in Mideel, but even that was only going to last her for so long in such a hostile environment, and she was well past having reached her limits.
Somehow, though, she managed to find a way out, and eventually reached civilization. Some kind of trading hub, if she had to guess. "Finally...I was getting tired..of that haunted-ass forest..." She muttered to herself as she approached the city. Of course, she looked like hell. She hadn't gotten much sleep in that forest, and numerous encounters with monsters and evil spirits had taken a toll. They ultimately proved to be nothing she couldn't handle, and she wasn't seriously injured. Still, she was roughed up quite a bit, and the pajamas she was wearing when she arrived in this strange new world were in tatters. Normally, she'd be a bit more worried about preserving her modesty, considering that the ragged remains of her sleepwear was, quite frankly, leaving little to the imagination. But at this moment, she was simply too exhausted to care.
She was worried, however, when her fatigue finally completely caught up with her, and she suddenly felt her legs begin to lose their strength. She managed to prop herself up on the side of a random building to keep herself from completely collapsing, but it quickly became apparent to anyone passing by that she was in trouble. Whether anyone would actually stop to help her remained to be seen, though, as just about everyone seemed to be preoccupied with whatever business they were in the middle of. There were some worried whispers, but no one seemed brave enough to actually approach her. Which is fair. If it were someone else in the state she's currently in, she'd probably avoid them too. They could be a crazy person. Or contagious. Or something. Not that it made the gawking any less annoying.
"...take a picture...it'll...last longer..." She mumbled in a huffy tone.

[attr="class","crashBody"] Cissnei was ready to return to her headquarters in Sonora. She missed the cozy flat and sitting by the fire to keep warm. She even found she missed the biting cold and the greasiness of the city. It had been a while since she trekked back. The flooding, mad scientists, and even the mysterious mansions of Provo finally wore on her. Or perhaps it was the fact the stoic Vincent and Sephiroth had sucked her social energy dry after whatever THAT was at the winery. [break][break] So, here she was, a little hurried, to the airship port when she heard someone huff. It took her a moment to realize it was familiar, before stopping in her tracks. “Freyra?!” She tossed her plans out the window the moment she saw the tattered woman. She took her own blazer off and hurried across the road. She narrowly missed two chocobo drawn wagons to do so. Cissnei decided to not ask too many questions just yet. Freyra obviously needed a safe spot to recuperate. [break][break] “What happened to you?” She dropped her blazer over her shoulders. A hand slipped about her waist to support her. “Come on. I will get you a room until we get some clothes to put on you.” Cissnei looked over her, but Freyra did not seem terribly injured. A few scratches here or there, otherwise she seemed like she mostly saw death. At least she was not close to it. “And perhaps get you to not smell like death.” She said lightly. [break][break] She began to pad down the street, staring down the onlookers with an ochre glare. The fiery look seemed to put them at bay. Cissnei searched for a close location to house in. When she found a sign indicating an inn, she pushed open the doors and looked up at the innkeep. He gave her a skeptical eye and seemed to be about to open his mouth to refuse her for allowing someone about to die in here. Cissnei tossed a hefty amount of gil on his counter, then shoulder passed him. She swiped the keys from behind the counter without even bothering to ask for them. [break][break] She got Freyra to a room on the first floor and gave soft huff at her. “What a mess you are.” Though it was said out of frightful concern. “Do you need a hospital?” Cissnei could inspect her more now.
Freyra watched as some of the crowd moved along, getting bored of gawking at her, while others still stayed behind with looks of hesitant concern. By this point, she was over it. It would probably be better to just keel over there and now, and hope she wakes up again. However, once those rather dark thoughts crossed her mind, her salvation came in the form of a very familiar voice, who called her by a name she hadn't used in a while. Looking toward the source of the sound, her weary eyes landed on a concerned-looking Cissnei. To say that the other woman was a welcomed sight would be a huge understatement. Even before this strange turn of events, it'd been far too long since she saw any of her friends and fellow Turks. So to find one of them here was a pleasant surprise. Almost a little too pleasant, in fact.
"C-Cissnei?...crap...I-I'm not...hallucinating...am I?...please...tell me I'm not hallucinating"
Her question would be answered when she felt the blazer draped over her body, and her arm wrap around her body to allow the weary woman to use the other as support. As the question of what happened registered in her mind, she let out a heavy sigh "...not sure, to be honest...one moment, I'm at home...I wake up to some news...something about the Sector 1 reactor getting bombed...and go back to sleep...next thing I know, I wake up in the middle of this haunted forest...undead creatures and evil spirits everywhere...I was lost in there...shit...at least three days...probably more. Barely got any sleep...too many monsters. I was able to fight them off for a while...but fatigue started to take its toll...and they started overwhelming me with their numbers...so I just kept running...until I eventually found a way out..."
Thankfully, she could remember everything clearly. Physically, she was a hot mess right now, but at least it wasn't affecting her mentally. At least, no worse than usual for the levels of exhaustion she was under. With Cissnei supporting her, she was able to make it the inn. She couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle at the way she handled the innkeeper; some things never change, it seems. Lord knows she'd been cowed by that same forceful attitude on at least one occasion, and it was always fun watching her do it to others. Once they were in the privacy of their own room, she let out a soft sigh of relief. When asked if she needed to go to a hospital, she shook her head. "...no...I don't think that will be necessary...some food and a nice soft bed, though...that sounds wonderful...and a hot bath probably won't hurt either..." She mentions quietly, pausing a bit to think a bit more.
"...I might need a bit of help with that last one...my legs aren't exactly cooperating with me right now..." She admits in an unusually sheepish tone.
[attr="class","crashBody"] Cissnei provided a slight smile while feigning a serious face. “You might be hallucinating. Who knows if I am real or not?” She teased lightly. A form of chiding for getting herself into so much trouble. Though the supportive contact between them was real enough. She made sure to keep her from falling. [break][break] The femme Turk listened to Freyra’s story. The last part was horrifying by the part Cissnei couldn’t believe “Wait. You heard Sector 1’s reactor was bombed and your response was to fall asleep?!” Cissnei pressed a knuckle deep into Freyra’s rib to needle her. She deserved a little more pain. “Honestly, I think that is the most horrifying part of your tale.” She chided with a soft huff. [break][break] Cissei heaved a sigh and shook her head, “You were probably lost in Headstone forest. You are lucky that all you lost was energy and time. People tend to go missing there.” She shook her head. “As for how you got here, well, no one really knows what pulled us into this world or why.” There were theories and conjectures, but nothing concrete or defining. “But I can assure you, we’re not on Gaia anymore." [break][break] The door was shut quietly behind her. Freyra expressed her needs and Cissnei listened. A bath would probably be best so they could address the significance of her injuries. “Well, if that is all you need, your skills as a hunter appear to have kept you together.” Cissnei said quite impressed. [break][break] “Well then, let’s get you in the bath. But only if you can promise me that you won’t fall asleep in it. Especially while I leave to get you some food.” Her voice turned stern as she made eye contact with Freyra. She turned to the bathing room then to start the tub for her. It was not as modern as Sonora, nor did it get as scalding hot, but it was warm and comforting. “Come on. I’ll help you get undressed and get in.”
