Trade barbs with a red-headed buffoon? Cassandra tilted her head to the side as she attempted to visualize anyone she may know on Zephon with such an appearance--besides G'raha Tia. No, she could not see anyone within her mind's eye, but she made a mental note to herself for now. It seemed trouble had not stopped following her since she had been pulled from the Source. And it had not stopped following Hades, either. Then again, he did have a penchant for creating it all on his own despite whatever protestations he gave to the contrary. Her lips curled into an amused smile as she simply gave the man a noncommittal hum. What would she do if she returned to find even Hade's abode in tatters due to Alexander? Hades could certainly repair whatever damage was wrought to his home, and her fellow Warrior would bellow in complete frustration at it before attempting to ruin it once again. Truly, Alexander was a single-minded man when it came to deciding upon a path. [break][break]

Even if the said path was utterly idiotic. [break][break]

Cassandra had to resist the urge to smile in triumph at the admittance that she had been mostly right. There was a pause when he mentioned that the pomegranate was a personal favorite of his. It brought forth another odd sense of familiarity she could not begin to explain or fathom. She had felt such a way towards Hades from the moment they had met, but it had been easy to push aside with the pending pressure of saving the First and being literally torn apart from the inside by the Light aether of the Wardens. "I can only imagine with the identities you have had to maintain throughout the years." The statement was merely a factual observation without any accusatory tone to it. It was simply the way the past had played out and she had no wish to berate him over a course he would not regret. In her own musings, Cassandra wondered if she would not have done the same. What was she willing to give to see a loved one of hers again? [break][break]

The answer to that question was a dangerous one. Her thoughts were interrupted with unwanted knowledge as Cassandra sat up straighter upon her seat. "What names did you give to him? Such a question means only one thing to him, and now I wonder if I need to sleep with one eye open," she said as panic briefly flickered within her eyes. Her chest began to tighten as she recollected the various fights she had had with Zenos over the years. Cassandra had no wish to revisit a similar scenario with the man. He was a beast that had been needed to put down, and it had finally been done at the end of all things. She felt some pity for the man with no true meaning to his life but to throw himself into battle again and again to feel a spark of...whatever it was that pushed him forward. As much as Zenos believed she lived for the thrill of the next battle she did not. It was a means to an end and nothing more.
