He gave her a glare, but even Seymour knew that his glares were losing any real anger or annoyance as their friendship progressed. Now it was just sort of a playful reaction to her teasing mirth. If he was being honest with himself, Seymour enjoyed the light teasing from his friend. It was something new and nice that he’d never really been able to experience before. But that didn’t mean he had to let the teasing slide completely. [break][break]
“Yes, you were right,” he conceded with an over-exaggerated eye roll at her smug expression when he admitted to liking the sweet cake. He shoveled a few more bites into his mouth as she thought about his clothing shop query. [break][break]
“Maybe I’ll look around after we leave,” he said. “I can’t stay in this robe forever. Especially if it might snow soon.” He glanced out the window thoughtfully. “I’ve never actually seen snow,” he commented, “It snowed in a few places in Spira like the mountains but I never visited them.” [break][break]
After the cheesecake had been thoroughly demolished, Seymour stacked up his plates and silverware on the table and looked over at Aerith. “Thank you,” he said earnestly. “For journeying with me and showing me around. If you point me to a clothing shop and an inn I think I can make it from here. I’m sure there’s business you need to take care of.” But then he realized something crucial if they wanted to see each other again. “How will I contact you or find you here?”
