Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
inoa nodded her head in agreement. Angelo had always stuck with her.
"Yeah, Angelo has been by my side since I left home, helping me fight the whole time." Rinoa replied. Her faithful companion even fought battles and was responsible for saving her from a few tight spots here and there. Rinoa didn't know where she'd be without Angelo, "You seem to get it, do you have a pet too? Like a... parrot? Oooh, or a monkey! I saw that in a movie once, a pirate with a pet monkey that liked stealing shiny things from people." Rinoa grinned. Monkeys were pretty cute.
Then Faris explained his companions. Man, it must suck his friend forgetting him like that. And it was something to do with the wind? So they could all start forgetting things at anytime? Scary thought. Rinoa didn't want to forget anything, nor did she want to be forgotten. She didn't know what she would do if she actually found Squall and he didn't remember her at all. To lose everything they had between them... everything they had fought for. They had argued, laughed, cried... and Rinoa wouldn't give up a single part of it. But she had faith within her. Faith that she could never forget him above anything, and that he wouldn't forget her. As for Faris, he seemed to become down for a moment over that subject and instead reflected the topic to her own friends.
"I haven't found anyone. I don't even know if they're here, it might be just me." Rinoa replied, "I don't suppose you've met anyone named Squall, Selphie, Zell, Irvine, or Quistis?" she asked. It was kind of a long shot probably, but it didn't hurt to ask. But she didn't even know how she ended up here herself, how could her friends have ended up having the same thing happen to them? Unless someone planned it that way, but who? And for what? Why couldn't she have just been left in her own world to enjoy the peace they'd earned?
You've got a lot of brass, or mayhap you're just lacking in brains!
A parrot? Faris laughed. He didn’t know what a movie was, but whatever stories she’d heard sounded like nonsense if he’d ever heard it. How was a man supposed to keep a monkey aboard a ship? They’d run out of fresh food in an instant, and keeping a beast like that on anything else was just cruel. Still, it sounded like quite the image.
Faris, sending out a monkey to grab some coins.
”I’ve had nothing like that,” he said. ”But I tamed a sea drake when I was young. She went by the name of Syldra -- about as long as a ship and thick as a whale! We were close anyone, and she’d even pull the ship like a cart chocobo when the winds were low. A lifesaver, she was. She saved me as much as I’d saved her.”
He sighed. Syldra. The thought of her still twisted like a dagger in his heart. Her cries, piercing the sky. Her eyes, sinking into the waves. Faris had tried to rush out to meet her -- anything when she was in such pain -- but it was a fool’s errand and his friends had known it. They’d held him back no matter how he’d swung at them. In the end, there’d been nothing to do but fall into the sand.
He rubbed at his eye. It wasn’t tears. Just a little itch along the side.
”Haven’t heard of anyone like that,” he said. ”Squall, Selphie, Irvine, Quistis. I’ll keep the names in mind, and if I come across someone of the description, I’ll let them know Rinoa’s looking for them.” He smiled at her just a little. It was hard finding yourself alone. Faris knew that better than anyone. He thought she would handle it better than he had though. She didn’t seem the type to drink her troubles away at a bar table.
”As for me…” he paused, thinking. ”I’ve found Bartz, but there’s still my sister. She goes by the name of Lenna. She’s strong and caring and just about the kindest woman you’ll ever meet.” He looked at her closer and then fished around beneath his scarf. ”She’s got pink hair and wears a pendant like mine.” He pulled it out, letting it glint in his palm. ”I miss her terribly. More than Bartz even…”
It was sad, but true. Bartz was his closest of friends. Lenna had the bond of their blood. After so long searching for it, Faris wasn’t about to let that go.
”We’ll help each other then. We’ve got to with everything gone up in smoke. There’s not another who would do it.” He slid his pendant back under his tunic. ”I hope you’ve got luck on your side. If I could find Bartz, I’d say anything’s possible. He’s about as hard to catch as a wild chocobo.” He smirked faintly. No matter what he said about him, he couldn’t help his own fondness. The likeable lout.
”I won’t take all your time. Go have fun. Have a drink while you’re at it. You deserve a night to let loose.”
sea drake? Wait, weren't drakes like dragons? So it's like a sea dragon? WAIT, like Leviathan!? Rinoa suddenly had an image of Leviathan in a harness pulling Balamb Garden around the ocean. And Rinoa had been impressed by her own success at training a dog so well in her young years. Training a dragon to be a pet was on another level entirely. She wanted to ask more about that (how does one train something like that even?) but... Faris seemed to grow a bit distant on the subject. Rinoa didn't know why, but she got the feeling it might not be the best subject to go over. If Faris was also from another world like she was, than maybe Syldra got left behind. Rinoa couldn't be more thankful that Angelo had come with her, she didn't know what she'd do if she were completely alone. She could understand the feeling.
"Thanks!" Rinoa replied with a grin, though she didn't know if Faris would ever see them. Maybe it was just her fear taking too strong a hold, but she very afraid she was the only one. She was the Sorceress, after all. She kind of stood out, a unique being in her world. Well, once all the other ones were gone. But they were gone now and it was just her left. It wasn't impossible either, but Rinoa was afraid to hope too much on something she did not understand.
"Lenna, pink hair, pendent. Got it. I haven't been here that long and haven't met too many people yet, but if I see her I'll let her know her sister is out there looking for her." Rinoa replied. That was certainly fair if Faris was going to look for her friends. And if this Lenna was out there, she was probably worried about Faris too, so it'd be nice to give her some hope.
"I certainly hope so too." Rinoa replied to the wish of luck, "And I hope you can find your sister!" Rinoa grinned again. With that, Faris indicated he would take his leave.
"Ah, okay. Though, I'm not old enough to drink." Rinoa said with a chuckle, "I hope we can run into each other again some time." she said with a smile.
