Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.

This was getting rather tedious! The ninja was proving to be far more of an annoyance than the Black Waltz could have ever anticipated, destroying his creatures and providing a counter to every move he had planned to make! First, he sliced up the worms as if they were nothing. THEN, as the mage attacked his flank with a FREEZE spell, he countered THAT too for the post part! summoning a fire-breathing frog-creature, the mass of useless Mist firing a ball of flame equivalent to a FIRE spell up at the freezing winds! Unlike normal sub-zero blasts, this magic completely consumed that of the fire, encasing it in ice faster than it could burn it! While holding off it's advance from that angle, it quickly moved to freeze over both the frog itself and the old man, encasing them both in a frosty cocoon neither could escape... yet...
With a NEW puff of smoke the Ninja FLED the scene, hardly making a stealthy escape given the mage's superior elevation, able to see in whatever direction he was running... and with his prey in his arms! The Black Waltz knew not how to feel about this encounter. On the one hand, he would've been glad it was over, already pushed to the limits of his patience with how LONG it had went on! On the other hand... he couldn't just let this guy get away... not after leaving a portion of his new haunt completely in ruins but somehow finding work-around after work-around to his strategies!
"...No. He must DIE!" Black Waltz No. 3 concluded aloud before spreading his wings in a MIGHTY flap and following after them! His claws crackling with power, Black Waltz 3 fired BLAST after BLAST of THUNDER down upon the fleeing ninja, each bolt tearing up the ground it struck in LONG jagged arcs, some just on the heels of the man they chased! The Black Waltz didn't dare give him any room to breath, to recover, to relax! He would either have his information...
OR HE WOULD HAVE HIS HEAD!
"You run from the inevitable, fool! Give in and DIE!"

Keimusho could hardly do anything but keep running at that point. There could be no stopping or the old man would end up dead. Numerous bolts of lightning crashed near the fleeing Au Ra, creating giant craters in its wake. Majority of the mage's spells found their way behind the ninja's path. But those that fell in front of the ninja required more effort to dodge due to the craters. In those instances, the ninja leaped over these newly created obstacles.
Hearing the mage's demand for his demise, Keimusho felt it was necessary to reply. "I'm definitely not choosing death. Not after what I've been through. You will not get your hands on this man's life either." Feeling that it was necessary, Keimusho once again activated Shade Shift. The technique would see more success as the ninja would not be forced to take the spell in its entirety. The shadows of the technique blocked both Keimusho and the old man from the flying debris that the golem's spells may have caused.
Keimusho knew that he couldn't keep up this up forever. There was only so much that he could anticipate, especially which he had his back turned to the enemy and a big target on it in the form of the old man. Not to mention that he definitely pissed off his enemy. While this technique was still in affect, Keimusho would have to try and stop the mage from chasing after him. He had to turn to his ninjutsu once again. Still running, Keimusho's hands once again weaved the signs Ten and Chi. After the signs were weaved, he turned his head to find the mage and take aim at it. At that moment he activated Raiton, summoning a bolt of lightning from the sky towards the flying figure.
"Do you think you have ANY choice in this...?" The Mage laughed as lightning RAINED DOWN upon the man. His agility was put to the test as crater after crater exploded both on his heels and before him, the man somehow still able to keep moving despite these explosive and dangerous pitfalls! As aggrivating as it was, the mage was having some sort of perverse pleasure in watching the Ninja struggle to continue moving fluidly, his flips and sharp, but graceful turns indicating a struggle! The moment Keimusho would fail would be the moment of his doom, an inevitability even he seemed to acknowledge... even if all he spouted was utter defiant nonsense!
He cannot resist me... I am far too powerful!
This was all a game... Yes... This chase happened because he allowed it too! After all, if what the man said was correct, there was no reason why he couldn't take his time toying with these mortals as he searched for the princess. He would wear this being down, let him run until his legs were little more than but dust... and when he was unable to move...?
...There would be even more enjoyment to be had.
What he did not expect... was that the man would be able to fire back with his own spells! From everything the mage had observed, Kei required hand-signs in order to channel his magic! However... with one (or maybe both...?) arms occupied in holding the old, frozen man... How was he able to form his fingers in the correct signs in order to complete his spell...?
With no answer provided, the ninja fired a MASSIVE blast of lightning at the black mage, Black Waltz 3 SPREADING his wings wide to slow his pursuit! His glowing white eyes widened with surprise as a very similar magic to his own RIPPED across the space between them, the mage extending his free hand claws touching the lightning that BLASTED towards him! Voltage RIPPED across the Black Mage, arching and biting across his coat and along the tip of his pointy hat! The Mage hunched forward, his feet touching the ground as power BLASTED across his internal systems, jumping from joint to joint, flicking from finger to finger...
"RAHHHHHHHHH!" He roared as more and more power FLOODED out of the machine/mage, more and more Voltage arching out of him! His feathers stood on end, his body straightening, his white, glowing eyes FLASHING brightly with power as he leveled his staff at his fleeing foe! All the power that had surged from the Waltz CLIMBED now with purpose across his form and up his arm, climbing along the thin, wooden shaft of the polearm before coagulating at the crecent's indent, a MASSIVE Ball of thunder!
"Thundaga!!!!!!!!!!!!" The Black Waltz Chanted darkly, MASSIVE SNAKING BOLTS of electrical devestation EXPLODING from Black Waltz 3, three snakes of pure, electric death slithering along the ground towards their target and RIPPING APART the earth as they went!

Keimusho took a small moment to look back at the enemy to witness his descent to the ground as a result of the ninja’s Raiton, a best case scenario for the Au Ra. With the spell slinger grounded, the ninja had a little time to create more distance to complete his escape and Keimusho felt more confident because of this. That was until the mage casted yet another spell at him. Lightning was gunning for him at the ground this time, but Keimusho had yet another tool for this. Keimusho had once again started to weave signs. This time the signs were Ten, followed by Jin and Chi. After the signs were weaved, what was left behind the still running ninja's feet was a patch of corrupted earth, a result of Doton.
When the lightning snakes came into contact with the corrupted earth they danced around the area it was created, until a large explosion occurred. This explosion resulted in the formation of a larger crater than the ones that the ninja had to avoid earlier. That was yet another spell Keimusho managed to avoid and with the mage now on the ground the ninja could continue this trend with better success.
In fact, now that the mage had its feet to the ground the ninja had even more options at his disposal. Tricks that did not work while the black mage was airbourne would likely wield more success and that included the use of smoke bombs. As the ninja kept sprinting his dropped a smoke bomb behind him to conceal him as he ran. During this the old man slowly began to thaw, albeit not completely, still it's not like it mattered much anyway. Whether, the old man was frozen, unconscious, or even awake the ninja would have to keep carrying him around so that wouldn’t change the ninja’s strategy period. All that the ninja could do is use the smoke as a cover and keep running.
"RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" The Machine roared as AGAIN, the ninja countered his spell, a few weaves of his fingers creating some kind of barrier about him which distorted and shaped the lightning that was BURSTING FORTH from the mage! His trio of lightning bolts molded and encircled the barrier they struck against, arching along the ground and RIPPING it assunder with each bounce across it's face! The air EXPLODED around the ninja as he hid behind his barrier, the world seeming to shake it it's very core as the mage's magic HAMMERED against the man's defense... Utimately breaking through... but with not enough power remaining to attack the man (or men) behind it!
The Black mage puffed and huffed heavily... his rage blinding him to a very imminent threat! So focused on the man escaping him... he did not spot the MASSIVE chunk of broken rock hurtling his way, a piece of the ninja's earthen barrier that had been SHATTERED from the Mage's Thundaga! Black Waltz 3 took to the air again, spreading his wings to chase after his... elusive prey...
...ONLY FOR THE STONE TO SLAM INTO ONE OF HIS FEATHERED APPENDAGES, sending the mage SPIRALLING to the earth! Black Waltz 3 SLAMMED face-first into the harsh, rough, snowy floor as his body DRAGGED along it's toothy face, the mage lifting his head in time only to see his target escape over the horizon!
"Damn YOU! I'LL KILL YOU!" He screamed, blasting lightning wildly from his fingers in the direction of which Keimusho fled, each blast shooting harmlessly off into the sky! "I WILL NOT BE DENIED! RAAAAAAH!" The rock had not only CRUSHED his wing... but pinned it to the ground! The sizable stone wouldn't be broken by a simple blast of magic... he'd now have to dedicate his full attention to freeing himself of this embarrassing prison!

As Keimusho kept running, it seemed odd that the mage was no longer being slung at him. As the ninja had his mind occupied with his escape, the clashing of the corrupted earth left by Doton and the mage's Thundaga spell sent a boulder that conveniently trapped the mage in place. By this time, Keimusho was too far away to notice this occurrence. The only indication of anything of the sort was the screams of the mage. By the time the Au Ra escaped with the old man over the horizon his body had completely thawed, though still unconscious. He placed the old man on the ground to check if he was still breathing and for the Au Ra to take a breather himself.
"It seems that you are the only one from your village that survived. I may not be able to do much for you, but at least I can promise to bring you somewhere that you could live the rest of your days in relative peace. Though before then I'll have to bring you to someone who could treat your injuries.", Keimusho said aloud. This was less a message meant for the old man since he was unconscious, but more of a mental note of Keimusho's next objective. Keimusho once again lifted the old man though this time he was placed on his back rather than on a single shoulder. Then the ninja would make for his departure from the area completely.
