II. PERSONA
Keimusho has never known a time of luxury. At a young age he had to learn vigilance. As he grew, he would be known for his sense of duty. For better or worse he has a steeled heart, and he is adamant about upholding his shinobi principles. Despite his seemingly cold nature, he isn’t opposed to helping others in need as he sees the options with the least long-term casualties as the most logical ones.
Keimusho, like all other Domans, acknowledges the Kami, but does not believe that they are orchestrating every single thing that occurs. He also feels that they don't and shouldn't feel compelled to any prayer. This is all despite being one of the few mortals possessing the Echo. His own philosophy is that man should dictate his own fate, a doctrine not unlike that of his adversaries that fight on the behalf of Garlemald.
Keimusho, as most shinobi should be, is quiet, honorable, and determined, but is a man who is molded by a troubled upbringing. This may explain why he is not particularly forgiving or at times remorseful. Perhaps this is why he took to the shinobi arts so readily. Killing for the sake of those he protects is something he does without a second thought.

III. BACKGROUND
In Keimusho’s possession are two Soul Crystals: The Soul of the Samurai and The Soul of the Ninja. He received the Samurai Soul Crystal from his former caretaker Fumio Itou. He is proficient in samurai swordsmanship, so much so that he knows the essential Iaijutsu techniques. However, that is about how far his samurai training extends. Therefore, he is lacking in the ability to use Hissatsu techniques like a master samurai may be. He received the Ninja Soul Crystal from the Onishi clan. His skills as a shinobi extend even farther than that of a samurai.
Keimusho wields a single blade that is a result of the construction of an Anima weapon, a project that has originally been done for the Warrior of Light. Funding from the Onishi Clan allowed for the shinobi to get one of these weapons crafted for himself. The weapon resembles that of the oni's club but is a single blade the length of a kodachi. The spirit residing in the weapon resembles that of the oni, beings that are believed to torment sinners. The name of the blade in question is the Enma-dachi. Due to this, Keimusho eventually named it Enma. Because of the nature of the blade, it would not be out of the question for those of the Far East to mistake it for a Tsukumogami. The Enma-dachi has not reached its full potential, but it is stable enough to where the Anima in the blade will not perish.
Due to the blade Enma-dachi being a single short sword. Keimusho has a unique fighting style that sacrifices some strengths of traditional ninja weapons or samurai. Since the kodachi is only a single blade he cannot utilize the Ninja's weapon techniques as they require a pair of daggers. And because the blade is not as long as the katanas the samurai use, he cannot use Iaijutsu with as much potency as he could if the kodachi was instead a katana of normal length. Still, the kodachi is not made with traditional materials, so its strength more than makes up for it. Though this style of combat makes up for this with attacking speeds that are faster than that of the average shinobi or the average samurai. This is because he utilizes both disciplines' methods of increasing attack speed. That being the Ninja's Mudra: Futon and the Samurai's Sen (or meditative stance): Fuka.
What sets this blade apart from other short swords is its ability to draw aether in a manner similar to how shinobi do. Enma, like a ninja, draws energy from Ten (heaven), Chi (earth, and Jin (man) to the blade it is housed in, though it is in a much more gradual fashion. This allows the anima to do the job that the scabbards of a katana typically do. Instead of Mu having to take time putting the blade in the sheath in order to gather the required aether, the blade itself would already have the necessary aether.
Keimusho's samurai roots are also reflected in the armor he wears. His armor takes inspiration from the foregone armors of samurai of eras past. This armor given the uninspired name "Gusoku of Mu" by his clanmates is also enchanted to enhance the flow of aether similarly to how the modern haori of samurai is enchanted. This allows him to move with grace similar to if he hadn't had armor on at all.

IV. HISTORY
Keimusho's story takes place in an alternate timeline to the world of Hydaelyn, in which Doma's liberation had more dire consequences. The Warrior of Light did not survive the flooding of Doma Castle, resulting in a huge loss for many nations. However, this is not where Keimusho's story begins.
Keimusho was born and raised in Doma, meaning that until recently he only knew his nation under the rule of imperials. The Au Ra was subject to learn the cruelty of the Garlean Empire at an early age. Just at the age of 7 he was left bereft of a mother and a father. It was then he realized that change had to occur. Even so he had nowhere to turn.
Keimusho with nowhere to go had no other options for survival other than thievery. He had to spend his life stealing daily in order to eat. He would live like this until at the age of 13, when a middle aged Hyur samurai by the name of Fumio Itou caught him in the act. It was at that time that life seemed to take a turn for the Au Ra as the samurai decided to take him in. There were not many unique rules in his household unlike most homes in the Far East, except one: a room that was forbidden to enter. Fumio would gradually warm up the Au Ra to the idea of swordsmanship. After 5 years passed the Fumio gave Keimusho a Samurai's soul crystal and began training Keimusho in earnest. Thanks to the crystal, Keimusho quickly reached a state of proficiency with the blade in just 2 years.
In a short while, Keimusho’s life would change once again, for then it would be the first time that the Echo had awakened within Keimusho. The Echo showed a vision of his master making transactions with the Garleans and even going so far as to take jobs for them. Initially Keimusho dismissed the vision as it simply seemed like a bad dream, but he needed to confirm the suspicions himself.
Knowing naught else to do, Keimusho searched the house for evidence of his master's deception in the one place he was forbidden to enter. Up until now, Keimusho never had the desire to go into the room prior as he respected his master’s rules; however, this was Keimusho’s only way to receive closure. Upon opening the door, the vision was revealed as true, a set of Garlean samurai gear was inside of the room. This infuriated Keimusho, who wanted his master to pay for his deception, though he knew he would lose as he was now.
Instead, he made the decision to leave his master’s home without a word. His only refuge would be a nearby forest. Soon after, he came into contact with a shinobi squad after narrowly dodging a dagger. Luckily for Keimusho, the shinobi stopped attacking him. That shinobi was a Hyur who went by the name Kaede. She was impressed by Keimusho’s ability to dodge her attack and was impressed even further when a soul crystal she carried resonated in Keimusho's presence. There he was offered an opportunity to join their clan: the Onishi Clan. At that moment the Echo granted him another vision, one where the ninja he just became acquainted with are fighting Garleans. This meant that the goals of the clan aligned with his own. After emerging from the vision, he accepted the offer. After acknowledging his resolve, the clan granted him a home and a soul crystal.
It became clear that Keimusho had an impressive aptitude and affinity for being a ninja. He learned ninjutsu quickly and employed the techniques effectively. In only a year, the clan would dub him a jonin. He proved himself essential to the clan in a moment’s notice. Then, in the year that followed came Keimusho’s most important assignment, assisting Lord Hien and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn in the flooding of Doma Castle. Specifically on the outside to suppress Garlean forces attempting to enter the castle. Everything went well for the outside, but not as much for the inside. The Warrior of Light did not emerge from the collapsing of the castle and was not seen again. This news was no secret for any nation, including Garlemald. This ensured that Doma would be invaded again by the Garleans in the future.
However, with Doma liberated there were luckily a few months allowed for celebration. At the behest of his closest clanmates, Keimusho used this time to visit the nations of Eorzea. He chanced to meet Ardashir Balyk, the alchemist who came up with the idea of the Anima weapon. Thanks to his clanmates' funding, this encounter eventually led to the creation of Keimusho’s Anima weapon, the Enma-dachi.
Upon his return, Keimusho was notified about the powers of the Echo, thanks to information given to his clan from the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Soon, the matter on how to proceed with the absence of the Warrior of Light became pressing. The only conclusion was to proceed as normal and attempt to liberate Ala Mhigo. This is where the plan to assassinate the Imperial Viceroy of Ala Mhigo, Zenos yae Galvus came to fruition. The plan would be to journey to Ala Mhigo while plans for their own liberation were in the works and ambush the viceroy there.
In Ala Mhigo, resistance forces created a large enough stir to make Zenos personally deal with the threat, which has given Keimusho the opportunity to strike, or so it had seemed. Keimusho was interrupted by none other by his old master, Fumio Itou. A clash ensued between the two resulting in Fumio’s death. With the obstacle gone, Keimusho had his attention turned to Zenos. As planned, he attempted to ambush the viceroy but his strike was blocked by Zenos himself. This was followed by perhaps the worst timing of the Echo’s visions. In this vision, Keimusho saw an unknown and unfamiliar land. Zenos was about to strike down the ninja, but by the time he swung his blade the Au Ra was pulled from Hydaelyn.

V. AUTHOR
PLAYER ALIAS:: TheHPDrop
OTHER CHARACTERS:: None
ROLE-PLAYING EXPERIENCE:: 2-3 years
HOW YOU FOUND US:: Simply by searching 'Final Fantasy RP' on Google.
NOTES FOR CONSIDERATION:: Keimusho only uses single target samurai weapon skills and the Iajutsu weaponskills up to level 50. Correspondingly, he uses/may potentially learn all ninja abilities except for its weaponskills prior to level 60 and Hellfrog Medium (or any other similar summoning technique that exists in FF14).
ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE:: Keimusho alongside other members of the Onishi clan were perfectly hidden on the mountain top while battle transpired in Rhalgr’s Reach. The plan to assassinate Zenos was in motion. “Kaede, you and the others go take out any unsuspecting targets on the battlefield. I’ll go after the viceroy...” After his clanmates departed for their own objectives, Keimusho was ready for his own. The ninja felt that Zenos was in the perfect position for the ambush and was about to leap off to strike, until…
“HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!”, someone yelled behind Keimusho. Keimusho turned wide eyed at the sight of his old master, Fumio Itou. “Ah… Keimusho, I’d recognize that white hair anywhere. You’re quite different from the thieving little shite you were almost a decade ago.”, the samurai continued. “Yet you’re still the same lying samurai who draws steel for the Garlean Empire.”, the Au Ra retaliated. “In truth, I intended for you to also join the Garlean Empire, but you ended up finding out my secret a tad bit too early. You would’ve served wonders for the empire. In fact, you could now even more so…”, Fumio said with a sly grin on his face. “If you’d think I’d give my allegiance to the Garleans now, especially after Doma had just won her liberation, then you are sorely mistaken.”, Keimusho said with conviction. Fumio shrugged his shoulders and sighed. “Then I’m afraid you’ll have to die then. Tis’ a shame that the Kami didn’t have a better plan in store for you.”
That was where the conversation had ended. Both Fumio and Keimusho had drawn their weapons. Steel clashed repeatedly between the two as neither could land a blow on the other. Fumio’s katana glowed as he attempted to strike Keimusho with Tenka Goken, a move that the ninja managed to dodge. Keimusho’s hand weaved the sign Ten, which was followed by the summoning of a Fuma Shuriken. Fumio managed to parry the large shuriken. Once again their swords clashed. Keimusho managed to gain some distance by tossing a smoke bomb. Keimusho’s hands once again weaved the sign Ten, but this time followed by the sign Chi. This mudra combination activated Raiton. The bolt of lightning struck the samurai causing severe damage. This gave Keimusho the opening he needed. Once he neared closer to Fumio ice surrounded Keimusho’s feet then he would cut his target down with Midare Setsugekka. “I’m sorry it had to be this way.”, Keimusho said as his former master fell down.
Keimusho had no time to dwell on it as still had a main goal: assassinate Zenos. He waited for yet another opportunity to strike him down and he took it without hesitation; however, when he took the strike Zenos blocked it with ease. Before he could retaliate, Keimusho’s head became fuzzy. In that moment he saw a vision of a world unfamiliar to him. “W-what is this place…?” The viceroy was going to strike down the defenseless Au Ra, but a light engulfed Keimusho, when it dissipated Keimusho was nowhere to be found. Not on the battlefield nor in the world of Hydaelyn.
