The Reign is here...
It’s been nearly a decade since its last passing over Zephon; a cosmic anomaly of atmospheric transilience. Serentestra lies directly in its path, leaving the Reignstorm to affect every city, every home, and every traveller. The citizens seem greatly concerned but prepared - knowledgeable of its recurrences. How long will it last? How violent will it be? Every Reignstorm in the world’s history has differed. Only one thing is certain… those who underestimate its natural power will meet a fatal end.
~*~*~*~
The Reignstorm is a series of intensely severe weather changes that can last from hours to weeks at a time with varying storm types across the different areas of the continent. Citizens seem to use the term “Blue” as a description of clearness and safety - deriving from the color of an open sky. Even a cloudy day with little to no severe weather could be called a rather Blue day. Blue days are few and far between, lasting at much shorter stretches of time than the Reignstorm.

- West Zephon (Provo, Torensten, Metaia, Reikin Woods)
The clouds open like a broken dam and thunder commands the sky. From torrential rains to wild twisters, the west’s greatest dangers are flooding and wind damage.
- North Zephon (Headstone Forest, Mt. Hotan, Sonora)
Winds from the northern sea freeze over the moisture that’s fallen to the ground and blizzards show no signs of stopping. The North’s greatest dangers are intense snowfall, freezing temperatures, and ice.
- East Zephon (Crystalus Divider, Worldsight)
Much like the west, rain falls heavy here, but in sheets instead of heavy drops. Winds are straight and cutting. The East’s greatest dangers are wind damage, lightning strikes, and landslides.
- South Zephon (Reikinto Sands)
The south sees no water. The sun seems to loom closer to the ground, drying out the sand and anything along it during the day while leaving it barren and frozen at night. The heavy winds come down from the mountain ranges to the north and lift entire sandhills like stacks of paper in mile-long heaps. The south’s greatest dangers are intense heat/cold and sandstorms.
