TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy could tell Caius was smitten by the way he was acting, and she trully was happy for him. He didn't seem like the type to be used to being in a relationship, but she was sure he would get used to it eventually. If he had known her a while and they knew each other well, then it would be a lot easier. Relationships were usually pretty fun, if everything went smooth. Honestly and loyalty, two things she had seen from Caius, so she had faith that they would be a fine couple.
Let's be real, Cindy was decently aware of Prompto's feeling for her. Though she didn't notice just how deep those feelings went, she wasn't completely oblivious. She wasn't in a rush for him to blurt it out to her. They were friends after all, she would let him figure his life out on his own and deal with it all when the time came. Truth be told, she had no idea of her own feelings towards him. He was funny and that was charming to her. He was also very kind, and that went a long way with Cindy.
"Well maybe I'll meet her someday, I've never really had girl friends before. Truth be told, I wasn't like the other girls." Cindy gave a wink at that statement, as it was definitely an obvious fact. While other girls were out shopping and doing their make up, she was elbows deep in a car with grease on her face. She didn't mind though, she loved doing what she did. Growing up with Pawpaw had been the best time of her life, and she wouldn't trade it for anything.
"Oh same. Pawpaw and I tried to plan things on occasion, but it never really panned out." Then everything went down in Eos, and they never dared to leave Hammerhead. When he mentioned she earned a break, she gave a smile. "You bet your ass I do, and you do too! Work is important, but so is givin' yourself a break as well. You're no good to people when you've hit your limit after all." Everyone had a breaking point, it was good to try not to reach that point.
When she heard that they boys had arrived safely, it was like a weight had been lifted. "Thank whoever the gods are here. I'm really glad to hear that. I really hope Gladio and Ignis aren't too bad off though. I know it will take some time, but with Noctis and Prompto there, they'll come around after some time." Some time was an understatement, but the boys had a bond that no one could break. They had each other, and she was glad for that.

Cindy gave a nod. "You'll get them back Noctis, I know you will." If there was a group of boys she had complete faith in, it was the four of them. Well, when they put their mind to something anyways. If they were left unattended, that was another story. Cindy would still trust them with her own life, that was something that would never change.
Looking around, Cindy scratched the back of her head. "It's definitely been a struggle. I usually only work durin' the day if I'm being honest." Luckily her tools didn't really need electricity, so that was definitely a plus. She really had to put her brain to work sometimes though. "Sounds like a hoot, you betcha I'm in for that." She didn't care what they did, she just wanted them all together again.
When he complimented her, she waved her hand. "Aw shucks, it was nothin'. I was happy to work on that beauty. It did lead me to meetin' y'all, so it was well worth it. Too bad it ain't here now." She really did miss that car. However, she didn't miss him hiding his feelings with a cough, but she didn't say anything. They knew their friendship.
"I'll hold you to that promise then." Cindy knew he had to go soon, he had boys to rescue. She felt terrible that she couldn't do anything to help him. He told her not to work too hard and she smiled. "Now where's the fun in that?" Giving him a wave back, it turn into a thumbs up. "You bet your happy ass I will!" The boys really did help her out quite a bit, and she was thankful for them.E

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
It was true that Cindy didn't know a lot about what Caius himself had done, but she knew a little bit. She also know Noctis and the boys, so if he was doing anything like what they had been doing, then she should have known better. She never dared to go where they were while they were sleeping to bug them, even if they did sleep in sometimes. People who lived the lives the way they did were not ones to sneak up on or spook in any sort of way.
"Well howdy-hey, good on ya for findin' someone! Congrats!" She was happy for him! Cindy sometimes thought about looking into finding a someone herself, but then she thought better of it. She would much rather have it just happen naturally with some she knew well than to try to make it happen with a random person. That, and she never had much time for anyone with all the work she had been doing at Hammerhead. Sure, men tried. And failed. Usually pretty miserably, especially when PawPaw got wind of what was going on.
As she listened, she put her hand over her chest. "Well aren't you ever the gentleman. She's a lucky girl." Though she had never thought of Caius that way, she liked him well enough to know that he would treat a woman right. Not to mention he could protect her from just about anything that would come as a threat to her, or either of them really. He was a loyal friend, and she could bet that trait carried onto a relationship as well.
When he told her what he had been up to and then asked her the same question, she gave a smile. 'Bout the same things you have, except I wasn't paired with a pyromaniac for parasailin'. Compared to yours, mine was pretty uneventful. It was a lot of fun though, so I can't complain." To be honest, Cindy had been having a blast, but she wasn't about to just jump around as she told her story like some kid at a carnival.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy gave a smile. "Well, I guess that's just one thing you can look forward to with bein' in this shiny new world. No one here really knows ya. After you get your ducks in a row, start livin' how you want to." Of course for Noctis and the gang at this moment, that was easier said that done. She was determined to help them out as much as she could, even though there really wasn't a whole lot she could do. She wanted to help them.
"Electricity? That shouldn't be too hard to find, right? It's not like this world is in the boons age and lives off of fire and crappin' in the outdoors." She could get a car running, there had to be something she could do for him. "Though you do have the charger, right? Would it just plug into one of the things in my house? Is it the right plug in?" All this thought over a phone, but that was something she didn't think of.
Watching as he looked down at his ring, Cindy kept silent. She knew that he was in a constant fight with himself, and that was something he had to figure out for himself. Of course she would be here whenever she needed him, but this was his internal battle. He had people on his side, people who wouldn't let him spiral too far down. They weren't just his support as a Prince anymore, they were his friends. She was his friend too, even if they did annoy her at times.
"That old fart could get by in the woods with nothin' but a hammer." She loved her grandfather, she really did. As he looked around, so did she as she gave a chuckle. "Yeah, I reckon' you're right. It's not hard when it's the only thing you really know." These are the skills she had. If you were to throw her out on to the battlefield, she could fight simple battles, but anything more, she was probably a goner.
To be honest, Cindy almost slapped him when she heard that question. "You damn well better come back. You know you're always welcome here, you and those boys. Any day, any hour. I'll make a place for all y'all to stay. Don't even worry about a thing." There was no way she'd ever turn them down.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy watched as Caius shot straight up when she spoke. When he snapped to look at her, she put her hands up. "Woah there, didn't mean to scare ya! Though I should've known better, what with your history and all that." She didn't know EVERYTHING he had done, but he knew that he was a fighter. In her defense, she hadn't been around a lot of people in her life. It did make sense for someone with his past would be on alert at all times.
The next thing that came out of her mouth make her tilt her head to the side. "Lumey? She?" A small grin formed on Cindy's face at the mention of a girl from Caius. She hadn't known the man for too long, but they had gotten along instantly and she was glad to have him as a friend, especially since she didn't know many people here in Zephon. Maybe she should go out and socialize more instead of working on cars all the time.
"I was handed an invitation and there was no way I was turnin' this down! I've never been on a cruise before." To be fair, Cindy hadn't been many places before. She envied the boys for the fact that they got to travel all over the place. That was definitely the only thing she was envious of them for. She would never want to do the things they had to do, but she appreciated them that much more for it.
Taking a drink, she looked over at everything. People were smiling and having fun. This wasn't something she was used to, but it was something she could get used to. There was nothing to be afraid of here, at least as far as she knew. Until that something came around, she was going to enjoy her time here. "Have you had fun so far?" She had no idea how long he had been here, but it seemed long enough to be tired.

Wiping her forehead, Cindy stood up straight out of the car she had currently been working on. It was almost ready, she just needed to connected one last thing. Jumping in behind the wheel, she turned the key and listened to it crank over. "Now that's what I like to hear." Dropping the hood back down she turned to head back inside when she noticed that there was an interesting person, who handed her an envelope and walked away. Confused, Cindy opened it to reveal an invitation to a cruise.
Growing up, Cindy didn't really get a chance to go anywhere. Inside she was as excited as a kid in a candy shop. On the outside, she ran inside to get packed and ready to go. Did she even have a swimsuit? Oh, there it was. She really hoped it still fit, since she had gotten it a bit ago in hopes she would be given the chance to wear it here in Zephon. That time seemed to be presenting itself now, and she was happy for a chance to just relax.
The activites seemed endless here, and she hadn't stopped going since she had arrived. Parasailing had been a blast and Cindy knew she would have to do it again in the near future. She hadn't been very good at the scavenger hunt, but she fun while doing it, and that's all that mattered for her. The music was okay, not really her style, but it was good to dance to and it went with the theme. After she had her fill of food, she made her way over to the man with drinks.
After she grabbed her drink, she went to go find somewhere to sit. As she looked over, she spotted a familiar face. Making her way to Caius, she took a seat next to him. "Well call me a rats uncle, fancy seein' you here. Didn't really peg this your kind of scene." He was definitely not someone she had expected to see here, but she definitely wasn't going to complain. The last time she had seen him. Well, let's just say that van had seen better days...

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Cindy shook her head and gave Noctis a smile. "Well, you are a Prince after all, so that is a good sign. But that don't mean you have to take on every little thing they throw at'cha. You're still human after all." When she had met him, she had been a little excited to meet the Prince. After meeting him and his friends, she had almost forgotten that's what he was. He was so relaxed and kind, like she was just meeting a regular person. He was still that though, he was still a person.
Watching Noctis light up at the sound of the game they used to play warmed her heart. The man had been through hell and back, she was glad to see the smile. "Yeah, that's it! I'd watch y'all and it looks like it was a lot of fun." She also liked to see that they were never really competitve with it either. There was "trash talk" between them all, but that was normal when you played games with others. "I really hope that you can get that phone workin'."
Cindy listened as he explained that Ignis was still trying to fight and do everything he did before, and she gave a tiny smile. "That sounds like Ignis alright.." All of the boys were determined souls that didn't let a lot stop them from what they were trying to do. "Oh Noctis.." Cindy didn't know what to say. Noctis was already feeling guilty with everything that had gone on before that, she really hoped he didn't beat himself up more for that. "Ignis knew the risk, and y'all did what you had to. It was all screwed up in the first place. If you see him before I do, tell him I'm sorry."
The Prince turned the subject around and brought up Cid. "For this worlds' sanity, it better hope he doesn't." She gave a smile at her own humor. "I'm kiddin', but I both hope he does and doesn't. I would love to have him around, but I wouldn't like how he had to get here. He's stubborn, he'll be fine no matter where he is." She was going to take this time to figure out what she wanted to do. Of course she would stay in mechanics, but now she didn't have to put her life into it.
There was one thing Cindy would never do, and that was judge them on something they were passionate about. Growing up, she got enough of that and would never wish it on anybody. The fact that she could fix cars better than half the boys she knew wasn't her fault, it was how she was raised. Maybe they should have learned a little more about what they were doing before trying to fix something. Then maybe she wouldn't have to show them up and fix it for them.
When Noctis looked away from her, she knew that he was putting himself on a guilt trip. To be fair, she didn't really blame him for that, but she also didn't blame him for anything that had happened. "Don't you dare give me that Noctis. Those things happened, and you did everything you could. No one can fix everything." Cindy wasn't great at pep talks, but she'd be damned if she let Noctis take all the blame. Everything around them had gone to hell and back, and he was not to blame for it all.
When he mentioned just hanging out, her face lit up. "Dang, now that I think about it, you're right. I can't cook, but we can all have a dinner, y'all can teach me that weird game you played." She had watched them a bit when they stayed in Hammerhead, and she had always wanted to join in, but didn't want to intrude. She didn't have many actual friends, with how much work she had to do. It would be nice to just sit around and not have to care about really anything for once.
The next thing she heard stopped her breathing for a moment. "No. You're kiddin'. Poor Ignis..." She couldn't believe it. Ignis loved to cook, and that wasn't really something you could do when you couldn't see. Part of her hoped that maybe in this new world, that there could be something that could be done. It was just a world though, and she knew it was just a hope. "How is he? Well, how was he when it happened? Were you there?" She hoped that someone was there with him, and that he hadn't lost himself with it.
So much had gone on in their home world, some of it she had missed. Though she thought of herself as lucky for that, she felt terrible for those that had gone through it. She thought of Pawpaw, and constantly worried about how he was doing. He was stubborn though, she knew that he would be fine if he had to be. She just felt terrible that he had to do it alone at all...

WOULD YOU SAY I BECAME A HERO?
To be quite fair, Cindy was sure she could watch Prompto take pictures for hours. In a totally not weird way though. When he took pictures, it reminded her of herself when she was working on her car. Making sure every detail is perfect, putting absolute focus into the work. Though working on cars and photography were two seperate things, the concentration to the work was the same.
As soon as she greeted him though, she instantly felt so bad. "Oh man Prompto, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you like that." She should have known better. Never interrupt someone who is concentrating on something that hard. She watched as he retreived the camera, begging for it to work. Cindy hadn't realized she was holding her breath until he said it was still good and she let it all out. "I'm glad to hear that. Once again, I apologize Prompto."
The next second was like whiplash. All of a sudden he was back to his normal self. Well, normal for Prompto anyways. He was saying hi to her like he had taken the last slice of pizza and had been caught. To her, she thought he was just trying to get his thoughts together after dropping his camera. She didn't have a clue it was her making him act this way, so she just gave him a smile. Which probably wasn't the best thing to do, but she didn't have experience with boys. Not like this anyways. Normally they just eyeballed her while she was working and then left when she was done.
Though, it was starting to come together when he started to ramble. Honestly, she thought it was kind of cute and giggled. It didn't really come as a surprise though. When the boys had come by, it was mostly the other three that really did the talking. Well, to her at least. She had figured it was because she was a girl, but the full extent of all of it was lost to her. She had no idea the effect she had on this poor man.
"You're just fine Prompto, and thank you for the compliment." Honestly, she wasn't sure what the plan was from here. "Of course, we can start over if you would like. You could show me around? See if we can find ourselves a good spot to eat." To be quite fair, she didn't really know how to talk to boys in that sense, so it was probably a good thing she knew Prompto already, and this tooootally wasn't a date.

TEACH THEM BOYS A LESSON
Noctis mentioned that Prompto could get carried away with his photos and she had to chuckle. "He takes pride in his work, I get that. But yeah, I'll definitely keep that in mind." She had heard Prompto ramble before, though it wasn't in a conversation with her. She also had to remember Prompto could be pretty sensitive, so she would make sure to let him know in a good way, so he didn't feel like he was being annoying or over the top.
It was a small compliment, but Cindy gave him a smile. She hadn't seen the boys too often back in their world, but they were enough to know that the boys were good people. They were humorous, and could kick just about anyone's ass. The day she had met them was one of the best ones she ever had, and she would always be glad she met them. Not to mention, if she was ever in a bind, she definitely knew she could count on them.
"I mean, I can't say I'm exactly thrilled about it all, but I can't punish you guys for somethin' that wasn't your fault." What did she want them to do, pause everything that was happening so they could get the car to safety and go back? Things happened, she knew that. "The last thing you deserve is being yelled at. You boys did so much for everyone." Well, there were probably things that they did that would deserve a good yelling, but the good outweighed the bad by a lot.
There were times where Cindy knew what to say, she wasn't just a blonde grease monkey. "Of course. You guys did some crazy things, and you did great." She stopped there because she didn't want to get herself worked up as well. Though she hadn't been there for it all, she knew most of what happened from word of mouth or the news. She always had the radio on in the shop, just in case.
"You damn well better bring those boys here. Vehicle or not, I'm always happy to see you guys. I don't think we all ever just sat around and talked, it was always while I was working or just small conversations here and there before y'all headed off again." Even if their meetings had been short, the boys quickly grew on her and she would do anything for them.
