PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
"That's right. We got these lamp things that acted like sunlight, so that was at least something." That probably made it worse to be honest, and Tifa looked out over Sonora again. Maybe that was why she liked working at nights, she was used to it being darker than normal. "Honestly, I don't really know. I woke up here after we had finally found Sephiroth and fought him. Meteor was still coming down, so it could have still wiped everything out." Until this moment, Tifa had never really thought about what had happened there.
When she saw the grin on his face, she had to smile as well. After what had happened at the bar, she was glad to see it. "You did, and I'll hold you to that." She gave him a wink as she listened to him. "Yeah, starting over again was not a good time." She had done it when she had gotten to Midgar, and then again when she got to Zephon. This time had been a little easier since she knew that she had to find connections quickly in order to make it, and she had done just that.
Tifa did want to talk about them, but now wasn't the time. He was about to go rescue his friends, that was enough for tonight. She smiled at the offer still. "Thank you, I'll keep that in mind." It was conversation for another time, and if she was being honest, she was happy to know that they would see each other again after tonight. Well, as long as everything the next day went well.
The hesitation in his answer didn't go unnoticed, but she let him have a moment. It was hard to talk about the past when so much had happened. "I understand that. Guess we both had our own share of trouble. You listened to mine, I'll listen to your story if you want to tell it. I understand if you don't want to talk about it though." It was difficult to tell her story sometimes, but it did make her feel better though.
"Hm, maybe it makes them more comfortable, if that makes any sense." Now she knew why he had said something when she had called him prince, and she decided she would not call him that again. When he mentioned he was hoping to take it back someday, she put a hand on his arm. "The fact that you still think about it and want to make it right says a lot. Maybe someday we'll all return back home. I believe there's some hope."
"A new world." Tifa repeated as she took a sip herself before just looking at it. It was sweet, and it was wonderful. "It's amazing, your world has some good taste." She didn't drink too often, but usually the wine was a little more on the bitter side when she did. This was something that could be dangerous. Thinking that they could use a more, happy conversation, she looked over at him. "Besides fishing, was there anything else you enjoyed doing?"

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
When he said he wanted to hear more, she smiled just a little bit at him being interested in hearing her story. That smile turned into a scoff though. "They didn't care. All they cared about was making money off of people using it. Midgar was arranged, differently than a lot of places. It was a city of two levels. The upper level was under the sun on plates held up by pillars, and consisted of the higher class citizens. They had good jobs, great places to get food, good schools. All the works. The slums, where I lived, was under that level, under the plates. We had no sunlight, and lived by what we could grow. Luckily we did have running water and electricity, but we counted on each other for everything else." As she spoke, she looked down at her feet. As bad as the slums did seem, it was home.
Noctis offered his help, and she gave him a smile. "When I've got a plan, I'll be sure to reach out to you. Maybe you and your friends will be able to move about freely by then and they can all help out too. It'll go really fast then." Maybe not Alex though. Nothing would get done then, and something would probably end up breaking when they were actually trying to build. "That's pretty cool you have your friends here though, at least you're not alone." Even if the situation they were in wasn't great, they had each other for support. Well, they would soon anyways. Tifa had to giggle. "I could tell. He doesn't hide it very well. But I'll keep my mouth shut." She made "zipping lips" motion.
Tifa sat down as well, crossing her ankles in front of her. "That's interesting. I've had to climb, jump, and swing across things, but I've never warped. That's a lot faster than the normal route, and a lot less work too." They didn't have anything like that on Gaia, not that she knew of anyways. She noticed him look out over Sonora, and she did as well. Tifa loved the night time, maybe that was just the bartender in her. It was quiet, and the lights just made everything glow just right to make it a really pretty sight.
Noctis then mentioned cups and she looked over at him as he pulled out two glasses and a bottle opener. She couldn't help but giggle. "You're a man to call for just about anything, aren't you?" Tifa really hoped that didn't come across the wrong way, but he seemed to have quite the assortment of things tucked away. She took the glass and shook her head. "This is perfect, thank you." It was true, she could make some great drinks, but simple was always best in her eyes.
As she watched him, she also waited to take a drink. She noticed he didn't drink it right away, and that he was lost in thought. It was from his home, so she stayed quiet and let him have his moment. When he spoke next, she looked back over Sonora. "Yeah, I do. I learned so much there, met a lot of great people. Though I lost some of them along the way, I will always cherish the memories I had." Well, most of them anyways. Looking back over at him, she tilted her head to the side. "How about you? Do you miss Eos?"
As she waited for an answer, she held her glass up. "To new beginnings."

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa was glad to be able to get back to a schedule she knew well. Like Noctis, her schedule while traveling across Gaia had been a crazy one as well. Maybe here they would both get back to something normal. Well, him after his friends were free and they weren't all on the run anymore. Tifa gave a nod. "They really did. Our planet had something called the Lifestream. Basically, it was what kept the planet alive. Shinra was using reactors to pull that energy from the planet. There's a lot more, but I don't think you want me rambling on."
When he mentioned adding it to the new bar, she had to give a small smile, since she had been thinking the same thing if Barret were to show up. "It's definitely not a bad idea. I don't think I could do it on my own. I didn't even set up the one where I was." To be honest, neither did Barret. It was the owner before them that had done that. Barret and the others would be the only ones she knew that could recreate it though. She might be able to, but not by herself.
"Good." Tifa thought for a moment about who she met. "Prompto was the one you knew well, correct? He's one of the friends from your world? You seemed to know Cindy as well, Prompto sure did anyways." She had taken notice of the way Prompto acted around the blonde, it was the most normal thing about that whole night honestly. She wanted to make sure she had met as the correct person in regards to what Noctis had told her, especially if she was going to see them again.
"That's so cool, you get to have a little slice of home with you. I mean, if it's a good thing to remember anyways." Tifa didn't have anything with her, except some Materia in her gloves, which she didn't even wear. She had opted out for a thinner pair, especially since she had gone back to bartending. She heard the groan, but still couldn't help but smile. "I can if you would like me to, just say the word." Obviously she wasn't going to do anything that would make him uncomfortable.
Tifa looked over at him with an eyebrow raised. "Warp?" Now that was a new one for her. She noticed the arm offering, but didn't make a comment, given their comments just a moment ago about the Prince thing. She watched as he summoned a dagger, and was both in awe and a tiny bit nervous. All she could was nod as they were being pulled away by, something. She went from lightly holding his arm to having a death grip on it by the time they made it to the roof. She stumbled a moment, but then was standing next to him again. "Wow, that was fast. A little rough, but not bad at all. You can just do that to go anywhere?"

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa giggled at his joke. "Gaia no, I don't think I'd survive if people could just keep drinking." There was a reason the bars closed, or people would drink until they couldn't anymore. "Yeah, I like being able to do things during the day and then go to work. I sleep in kind of later than most, but I'm still up at a decent time." She was starting to ramble, so she stopped. Little did she know, his world had lost its sun and was in darkness for a long time...
"Yeah, Shinra. We blew things up, a jail break isn't strange to me at all." The confrontation between the people at the meeting wasn't either, she had felt right at home if she was being honest. Also, they had technically broken someone out of jail when they went to rescue Aerith from Hojo's lab, so she could relate to them wanting to get their friends out of jail. She would've offered to help herself, but they had it all under control and didn't know her too well.
Giving a nod, she had to agree. Man, a secret room in the basement of the bar like she had back at Seventh Heaven would be great for them right now. "If only we had Seventh Heaven. It had a secret room below the bar, that's where we held our meetings." Barret had put that together, so she wasn't sure if she'd be able to do it herself. Maybe if he ended up here, they could build a new one.
When he mentioned that there were two more for her to meet, she had to smile. "I would love to meet them, though maybe not like I met the others." She gave him a playful smile. She wasn't mad at all for how things had gone down at the bar. Obviously there was some bad blood between some, but it had made her glad to see they all did end up coming together to help the two.
"Oh, is it something from you world? Then I would love to try it." Tifa loved to try new foods and drinks, so she was excited to try this. Looking out the window and then looking at their attire, she shook her head. "No, it's too bad out there. Lead the way, Prince." She gave a wink at that, hoping he wouldn't be upset with her calling him that.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Just as she figured, he was suprised to see her. "Hey." She was glad to see him again. He was great to talk to, and she didn't know how long it would be before she saw him again. As he pointed out his blue light thing was distinctive, she giggled. "It really is." She watched as he looked over to the clock and mentioned it must of been a rough shift. "Nothing I couldn't handle. I've gotten used to it over the years. Yeah, most bars are open pretty late. I'm just glad there is a time to call it quits." Tifa couldn't imagine what it would be like if bars never closed.
Noctis then apologized for what had happened during their planning and she shook her head. "Don't be sorry. I've been through meetings that ended up like that before, it really wasn't a big deal." She thought back to some of the meetings for Avalanche and how worked up Barret could get. A lot of theirs ended up just like his had gone. If Tifa had to be honest, it felt like she was right back under Seventh Heaven, listening to Biggs and Barret go back and forth. How she missed that...
Tifa couldn't imagine everything that was going through Noctis' head right now. "I don't blame you at all, I'm sorry about your friends. I really hope everything goes alright. You're always welcome at the bar, and you can reach out if you need anything." She wasn't sure what exactly she could offer to him at the moment, but she could at least lend an ear for him for the moment, and have a place for him and his friends to get together as well.
Noctis offered some wine to her and she gave a smile. "I'm used to being up late, and my place is kind of boring. I will gladly take you up on that offer. It's been a while since I've been served a drink." To be honest, it had been a while since she had a drink at all. There were times they drank after successful missions or meetings, but she was always the one serving so she never drank too much. Having a drink would be perfect right now.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa had a love-hate relationship with the night shift. She made good money, but the crowds could get a lot worse than the day ones. It was like once the sun went down, so did manners. Of course she was all smiles through it all, even when she had to kick someone out. She didn't have quite the amount of guests as she had with Seventh Heaven, but she had made a bit of a name for herself around Sonora. Maybe it was her looks, maybe it was her personality. Either way, she didn't mind, she had met some interesting people this way.
Finally the last person left and she could close up for the night. Gathering the rest of the glasses off the tables, she wiped them all down before sweeping and mopping the floor. Then she moved over to the bar itself and cleaned all the dishes and the back bar. Once the money was safely locked away, she did one final check before heading towards the door. She did check the windows first before shutting the lights off and exiting the building and locking it up.
The walk home wasn't very far, so it didn't worry her too much. Then again, she was more than capable of defending herself. As she walked by the inn, she saw a familiar set of blue sparks. She had almost forgotten Noctis and his friends were still here and their mission hadn't begun yet. It was strange to think she knew what was going on even though all but Noctis hardly knew her. Then again, she had done some of the same things before, so she understood.
Deciding to see if he needed an ear before everything went down, she headed into the inn just as he was turning to leave. "The perks of working at a bar." She was sure he definitely didn't expect her to turn up. "Sorry, I saw the blue and thought I'd come by." She hoped she was intruding on his thoughts or anything, but she didn't want him drinking a bottle of wine alone.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Since they had left Provo, there had been some tension between them. Well, that's what she thought anyways. It might just be Cloud was deep in thought and not talking much that made her feel like that, but also that was how Cloud was. He had never been much of a talker, even when they were kids. It didn't help that she was lost in thought herself, so even she wasn't much good at holding a conversation at the moment either.
Some time later, she heard about something going on over on Mount Hotan. There was snowboarding, and she thought that would be great for Cloud. After she suggested it, the two decided to make their way over, and now here they were. It had taken a bit for her to get used to the snowboard, but now she was used to it and it had become a lot easier for her to not almost fall flat on her face, which she was proud to say had not happened to her.
The best part of it all though was watching Cloud. It was like everything that had happened to him had vanished and he was finally able to enjoy himself. Maybe it was because they were so far from everything and he was doing something he liked doing, but Tifa didn't care. She would stay up here as long as possible to continue seeing him like this.
Snapping her out of her thoughts, she gave him a smile. "You know I never say no to a challenge." She gave him a wink and thumbs up. She was a little nervous though, but she was sure with Cloud around, it would be fine.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa knew she wouldn't be able to completely convince Cloud to not want to instantly go after Sephiroth every time he saw him, but she was at least hoping it would calm him down just a little bit. She didn't want him to be angry all the time. She wanted her friend back, even if he was a pretty cold and distant person. It was the Cloud she knew. He had his own unique personality and she had gotten used to it. Also, he was different around her, and she liked the feeling that he could be more relaxed when she was there.
When he mentioned Barrett the way he did, she giggled. "Yeah, he can't hide himself very well." Though as she thought of that, she really hoped the Barret that was pulled here was the one they knew and not one from before everything. It would be nice to have someone else to talk about everything with. Though, the Barret from their time woud also just attack Sephiroth on sight as well, so that would be something to address.
Cloud was then standing and saying it was time to leave. Giving a nod, she stood up as well. Seeing him standing and healed was a relief to her, and she was glad they were heading out together. She waited until he returned with his stuff, which didn't take long, they set out for somewhere other than here.

PROMISE YOU'LL COME AND SAVE ME
Tifa was wiping the bar down for what seemed to be the tenth time that hour. Business had been pretty slow, but it was a weekday after all. Sure she had her regulars here for the lunch special, but that was about it. Though she did use it to her advantage and had gotten some deep cleaning in so it hadn't been all bad. Not to say the bar was dirty by any means, but there were some areas she couldn't get to if there were customers in the bar.
The regulars in the bar mostly consisted of men on their lunch break, and she would get a few women here and there. To her, it was because men liked bar food and having a beer with their meal. Others would say the men were there for her, but she didn't think that was true. She didn't think she was ugly, but she certainly didn't think she was a good reason to come spend money on one place so often.
Tifa was just clearing a table and wiping it down when a blonde girl she had never seen before came in. Setting the dishes in the sink, she washed her hands before hearing her ask a question. "Well we have our seltzer drinks. They're fizzy like soda and are fruity. Mixed drinks aren't too bad for alcohol content, and can taste better than beer. We do have an assortment of light beers as well." Tifa did make sure to make a note to keep an eye on the new customer, since she mentioned she was a light drinker.
