Arc's eyes scanned the water, there was an island across the water, but no boats or ships as far as he could see. Thinking about it, he had seen little for ships and boats thus far. Perhaps he should go back to Torensten and find the harbor, he heard there was a port at least. So there had to be boats. Not like I'll be able to find a ship out of nowhere, he sighed to himself. Perhaps it'd be a better idea to find an airship and explore this land a little more.
Looking over the coast towards where he had come from, the beach was rather white and clear. He had heard that there was little sealife found out here, he suspected there had to be reason for that. Apparently only few would travel the waters, perhaps nobody at all. Arc couldn't figure out what was going on. As he looked over the water again, he tried to scan the waters, but it wasn't like he could see far into the distance. He was a little curious about what might be out there.
A shiver went over his spine, perhaps some monstrous entity existed in the water and he'd best stay far, far away from it. Shaking his head Arc gave up figuring out what he was going to do about this as his feet started to walk through the white sand again. "I'm sure some still go out here into the water, right?" he asked himself somewhat hopeful with a small laugh at the end. A nervous, mostly afraid, laugh, but still a hollow sound that louded over the beach before his shoulders and head sunk down again.
Clapping his hands Arc tried to pump himself back up as he continued his way. Almost marching forward he made an attempt to gather whatever courage he had, but truly? What was there to do? This world was unfamiliar, Luneth was not there, and he had yet to find even the slightest answer to whatever was causing this place to exist or causing trouble in this land. If he could find that, perhaps he could deal with it as a Warrior of Light. Then he could go home... right?

After their initial meeting with Rinoa and Caius, Quina did the one thing s/he did best; get distracted by something tasty-looking long enough to end up getting separated from them, and proceed to wander aimlessly without a care in the world. In the time that has passed since then, Quina has slowly-but-steadily been acclimating to the strange world and gradually using his/her "haggling" skills (really, people were simple too weirded out by him/her to argue any time s/he suggested a lower price on anything unless it was too unreasonable) to stock up on cooking and battle supplies.
Since s/he didn't know anyone here, s/he was prepared to fend for herself for the time being, though s/he wouldn't object to occasionally teaming up with others. His/her main goal was to wander aimlessly until s/he found one of his/her friends from Gaia, but given how huge this world seemed to be, it was looking as though it was going to be easier said than done. If nothing else, s/he's been able to find plenty of monsters to keep his/her appetite in check. Most monsters, they'd just devour on the spot. Occasionally, s/he found some worth butchering and using for ingredients.
S/he was a chef, after all.
Either way, s/he had found him/herself at a beach of all places. S/he had paid zero attention to how/when they ended up in such a place, but if nothing else, this seemed like a prime opportunity to look for some fish and seafood. Setting down the comically-oversized backpack that s/he'd been using to hold supplies and ingredient, s/he began looking around for any signs of aquatic monsters or shellfish. Instead, what s/he found was another person. Curious and in a friendly mood, s/he proceeded to bounce up to the unsuspecting Arc, greeting him enthusiastically.
"Hello! I not expect to find anyone else out here! You here by yourself? Or you waiting for someone?"
