[attr="class","post_box"] [attr="class","tetbox"] [attr="class","intext"] The room was quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the camp. Thick walls of hanging canvas separated them in Oran's home tent, a sectioned bedroom within it where the Warrior now lay on a low bed cushioned with cotton and furs. A sheet was draped over him from toes to midsection to give his bare chest and shoulders room to breathe should he spike another fever in his sleep. Though bandages remained, they showed no sign of red underneath. Oran changed them often to keep them clean and free from dangers of infection. He healed the deepest that he could, sealing the heaviest gashes from the inside. Spreading the magic evenly in the areas that most needed it had proved to be difficult.. So, he'd kept a log of times of day and which injuries to heal next when his manna replenished. It had proven very beneficial. Today had been the fourth day the Warrior stayed asleep. Others showed concern for his state, but Oran knew the Warrior far better; his was a lion's spirit that would not have its roar silenced so easily. He kept fearlessly vigilant in his work with the knowledge that his friend would wake when he was well and ready to. If he were being honest.. these last few days in silence watching over him had made him feel 'alive' in a sense he hadn't felt in years. He could feel the phantom buzzing in his palms still from the seething light when he thought back to the cave of feral lizards that tried swallowing the both of them whole. Crushing the cavernous area down to keep a heavy number inside, rushing to his friend with the smell of fire burning his nostrils, then- Ohhh, that fiend, Warrior!.. pulling him to that beast to have them fly off into the air. The thought of the height again caused his stomach to flip. When he'd returned to town on his steed, the Warrior's limp form leaning against his back, he hadn't known what to say when surrounded by the peoples' thousand questions. Then he saw her.. Her hair, braided with flowers freshly picked, cascading over a shoulder. Her dress, simple, but elegantly hanging on her lithe form - so peaceful among the rambling crowd. They shared no words.. just looked at one another with her eyes full of fear, then hope. Oran nodded in reassurance and couldn't help a small smirk to grace his lips. Then hers.. that glorious smile. It could light the sky in place of the sun. She'd often stay in the room with him to watch over their friend together and reminiscing old tales of years past. The journeys they'd shared, the brighter parts of their adventures. When he'd told Sarah of the dragon lifting them into the sky and the noise that escaped him in fear, she chuckled and the trill of her laughter swelled his heart in his chest. Sarah had left for the evening to go and rest along with the rest of the lively activity at camp, Oran alone at the Warrior's side once more, and he logged another session of healing in his journal. A shift of the sheet caught his ears. His head turned and he waited patiently. "Welcome back, friend." | [attr="class","image_box"] [attr="class","image_box_2"] [attr="class","tagyou"]TONIGHT, ETERNITY [attr="class","tagyou2"] Ignis Scientia -------- Tonight, eternity alone is near.
