Another chilly night, another fruitless effort to find some semblance of familiarity, an object....a person...even a building. If the indication of her weakened and reduced abilities wasn't already indication enough, this drove the final nail into the coffin. She was not on Ethrys, she appeared to be FAR from it...another shard perhaps? She recalled hearing reports and tales of how the Scions had gone to visit the other shards of the source. They had been summoned to one in particular...perhaps she had been summoned as well? Not usually one to partake in taverns or drinking past the occasional glass of Sake, Yugiri felt at her wits end. If this was a place far from her home, she had no way of knowing if a way to return existed in the first place!
Tales about would be heard in the right places, of a strange horned, scaled woman...fair of skin, green eyes and hair black as pitch would be heard. The words 'Scions' 'Hien' and 'Gosetsu' commonly spoken on the tongues of the drunk who had come across this strange 'witch' with a cold demeaner but striking looks. A groan of sheer frustration as the Shino tromped through the streets of the cities nightlife, she NEEDED a drink tonight, it never had served her as a Lords aide and right hand woman to rob herself of her senses with drink or drug but tonight she was willing to make an exception!
So she founds her way into a tavern, a place that even if her lord or her friends HAPPENED to be here they would NEVER think to look for her here. Even in a room full of adventurers and N'er-dowells Yugiri stood out like an absolute sore thumb. The light of the tavern seemed to absorb into her armor, perhaps a specialization to aide in stealth? Yugiri found her way into a stool, flagging the barkeep down, ordering something strong, a nod of understanding from the barkeep, a mug of ale placed down before the irritated desperate woman. "Thank you, very much." Yugiri would mutter accepting the drink bringing it too her lips, she doubted that a place like this would have Sake so she didn't even try to ask. The night dragged on, the Shinobi got into her cups, somehow...the Tavern had turned a game of her depression, patrons attempting to chug a drink faster than the Shinobi could, a Roucas crowd had gathered near the bar where the Shinobi sat, her thick Hingan accent slurred with the addition of the Alcohol. "W-who...finkshey can ouddrink meh nsht!? le'em *hic* shtep urp." Yugiri would call, her senses dulled from the drink, what was the saying? When in Gyr Abania do as they do? She could swear she recaleld a saying like that....or perhaps it was the alcohol speaking!
Provo, the busy streets, the crisp morning air, a deep breath inhaled, the clinking of chainmail as Yugiri began her own path through the streets, by some miracle she had found a way to communicate with the locals though some looked at her with trepidation, her to most monstrous appearence with her horns, scales and tail. Gil exchanged hands, luckily for the Shinobi the coins did not appear TOO different compared to the coins used in this town, meat filled buns in the young woman's hands. "Thank you, may the Kami smile upon you." Yugiri would bow her head to the merchant who only looked at her in confusion at the Shinobi's blessing, he did not have too long to question her, he blinked and she was gone in the crowd. A light breakfast as she passed through the streets, the sounds of the city were strange yet somehow relaxing to the young woman, a heated argument between two men nearby.
Slowly she came to realize that the conversations around her had died down, the two men dragged off to dispell the argument and deal with the unpleasentness perpetuated upon the public, however Yugiri's eyes locked onto one person....a ghost....a familiar specter. "B-by the Kami there's no way...." Yugiri would mutter to herself seeing a flash of familiar blond hair, a truly BORED expression, armor and Scythe. The young woman's jaw clenched, fists tightening, she began following at a distance, The more she watched his gait, watched his absolute disregard for everything around him, the more convinced she became. 'That explains everything, he's up to his tricks again.' Yugiri thought to herself, reaching down, behind her back, a clawed finger hoking into the loop of a Kunai. "ZENOS YAE GALVUS!" Yugiri would shout, her thick Hingan Accent may job a memory or two loose form the bored man, a hiss as steel flew through the air, a single Kunai to test the man's defense, if it truly was who she feared, he would have no issue fending off the lone knife!
As quickly as her voice belted out the name, Yugiri stepped aside, a phantom in the crowd, using the bystanders to mask her movements, her approach, So many memories, feelings bubbled to the surface, the shame first and foremost of her failed attempt to assassinate him in Yanxia, while she may not need to kill him here....she certainly had a score to settle at the very least, determine what his intentions were walking to brazenly, OPENLY through the streets! "Either this is the afterlife, or you yet somehow live, we have business, a score to settle tyrant!" Yugiri's voice would ring out from amongst the crowd, to a lesser opponent her tactic would create paranoia, a sense of her being everywhere yet nowhere at once....but the Shinobi were predictable to such a seasoned fighter he would know this trick well, if he cared to look past his boredom!
A groan would escape the young woman's lips, something soft nudged her, a soft screech. An armored hand rose up to shield sensitive eyes form the bright morning sunlight, she chill of the autumn air a welcome feeling, it reminded her of home. "Alright Arashi, tis best we get on the move. I understand your meaning my friend." Yugiri would speak, her tone soft, caring as gauntleted claws scratched the top of the birds head, Yugiri would heave a soft grunt sliding off of the branch she and her Yol had slept on to avoid attention, pearly white spiked tail swaying about behind her, green eyes scanning the countryside and horizon. Woodlands, plains in their last throes before the Winter would come., a part of the young Shinobi longed for the Bamboo, the sounds of the Ruby Sea, this please was not Aethyrse...that much was clean to her! "We are far from home...that much is clear Arashi, we must gather information, find allies. Find a place to stay. Will you be my eye in the sky?" Yugiri would ask to the bird above her, a loud screech would sound through the morning air, a cry of a beast unfamiliar to this land, "Thank you my friend...fly swift as the wind." Yugiri would say stepping out onto the road, the MAMMOTH bird taking wind, to the skies, if one were close-by, they would feel a change in the pressure of the wind form the birds mighty wings.
The change of pressure did not last long however, green eyes closed in thought. 'Where should I go? I think Arashi had indicated an encampment nearby...possibly a village. I should start heading that way.' Yugiri thought to herself, the windle tussled long Raven locks in the wind, sun shining dully off of purple and black armor and chain, equipment strange to one of her profession, daggers secured at her waist, footsteps crunching on dirty and grass.
Yugiri slowly became aware, someone....someTHING was following her. With grace the Shinobi continued down her path, her Aurals trained to the cadence of the other person's footsteps, if they quickened, it could mean an incoming attack. "My body feels...somehow heavier here, a truly curious feeling. Gauntleted hand would come up, finger's tapped against scaled chin in thought attempting to appear unaware of her follower, best not to give away her hand so quickly. "Hopefully Arashi comes to me with news soon, perhaps I will find a scholar...a merchant of sorts." Yugiri continued musing too herself.
At a distance one might assume from the pearly white scales, the horns and tail that they had come across some sort of monster, however they may find pause as they began to notice more and more humanoid traits on the mysterious traveler.
"Your Madness ends here Zenos! The people of Doma will be free!""

III. HISTORY
Born in Sui-no-Sato, a Raen Village hidden beneath the waves of the Ruby Sea, Yugiri had always been an adventurous if not rebelious little girl. Prone to sneaking out to see the world outside of the underwater village of the Raen, Yugiri would frequently find herself entranced by the Wonders of the Doman countryside, the Doman People. One day while exploring the surface, Yugiri came across a Ruin, Imperial Soldier soccupying the ruined stonework, protecting something....or someone. They spotted Yugiri, the young Raen had no choice but to Flee, in the process however...she got lost. She found herself in a Bamboo grove, the sounds of footsteps, wood striking Bamboo, the grunts of exertion. A lone boy in the grove practicing with a Wooden katana, At first Yugiri watched at a distance, day after day she found her way to the boy's training grove, slowly her confidence began to build until finally she approached admiring the boys dedication, the young Raen would begin training with the young man, following him like a shadow.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, Yugiri and the young man, who she had learned was the Prince of Doma, Hien Rijin. To Yugiri's confusion...one fateful day, Hien excused himself, leaving the grove much earlier than usual that was odd, with her curiosity peaked Yugiri the shadow ever dutifully followed after the young man at a distance, sneaking into a temple in a Volcano with him....however while Hien had made it through without incident...Yugiri tripped a trap, an alarm which activated the defenses of the temple and alerted the nearby imperials almost ending with the execution of both Yugiri and Hien!
Time passed after that day, the Imperials began an aggressive campaign to conquer all of Hingashi, all of Othard, Yuguri had shown a talent for the Shinobi arts, Yugiri felt torn between two lands...she wanted to protect her home, but she had grown so attached to the land of Doma and it's people she felt equally comfortable on land as she did in the sea however her hand was forced...the princess of Sui-no-Sato, the Ruby Princess learned of Yugiri's flirtations with the war on the surface....Yugiri was promptly banished for ear of the water finding the peaceful village beneath the waves. Yugiri with a heavy heart had to say good bye to her family, however it steeled her resolve to continue her training as a Shinobi, Upon completing her training, she was given the honored title of 'Mist Walker', her loyalty given to Lord Kaien and his son, her childhood friend Hien, acting as trusted ally alongside Lord Kaien's retainer, Gosetsu. However...the liberation front would shatter, After several years of fighting the Imperials struck a blow most brutal; the death of the Doman LEader, Lord Kaien had been slain, with a heavy heart....Yugiri had to admit defeat, failure a truly bitter and hard pill for her to swallow but she had been given a second chance. Lord Kaien's last wish, his final order; take the innocent people of Doma, find a new place for them to live in peace.
Yugiri's travels to find a place for her people would lead her to Eorzea....where she would make friends among the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, however....her people's peace would not last, many including herself could not help their minds turning to thoughts of home, thoughts of the capital in Yanxia. Their sights turned back towards home, to renewing the fight to reclaim their home with rumors of the Lords son Hien having survived....but living in disgrace. With Gosetsu and the Scions by her side, Yugiri returned home to Yanxia, her heart and her will to fight suffered a strong blow as she found the defeated broken shell that her beloved people had become. A report that the Imperial prince Zenos had been spotted in Yanxia...her people didn't wish to fight yet she did not want to live in shame she wished to inspire her people! Yugiri lay in Ambush, waiting for Zeno's a day of rain, the perfect ambush for a Shinobi....Zeno's proved to be too powerful for her to take down, Yugiri rest defeated, on her knee's, Her eyes closed, at peace that she would give her life to inspire her people to fight once more.....her death never came, her eyes opened to behold the people she hoped to inspire taking up any weapon they could find to defend her!
With the help of the Scions, and the people of Doma, she lived to fight another day...she found her way to a strange land...the Azim Steppes, A reunion with her Lord Hien, new cultures to learn, a trial to undertake in which she found herself bonded with a Yol, a Storm bird, the symbol of a Warrior on the Steppes. Her people freed, the rebuilding of their home began....starting with their cultural center, the Enclave, time would pass, the Skies began burning Red, meteors fell from the sky....people turned into monsters before her eyes, creatures never before seen by her, nor lord Hien, A fight to defend the people as they retreated to safety began. Yugiri let out a shrill whistle leaping onto the back of her Yol, pursing a flying enemy, a cry of pain from Rider and mount as the chaos of the Chase saw the creature get the drop on her....injuring both, the Yol began plummeting to the ground...both bird and rider engulfed in a blinding white light fcrashing down into an unknown area....it felt somehow similar yet different, Several days would be spent in this strange new land recovering, tending wounds and regaining strength but one could not remain still forever, not when the mist walks by their side.
