Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.

One Brings Shadow, One Brings Light
to this riddle, all souls are tied
He really needed the Echo? That uh, that complicated things. He cupped his elbow in his hand as he rubbed his chin. For a moment he seemed lost in thought before he grinned a little. "Well, well. Looks like I get to surprise you for once. Pretty sure not even Y'shtola can claim that." He gleefully declared as he motioned to himself. "I don't have the Echo here. I'm as normal as anyone else." To be honest, this was bad; he couldn't use the Crystal Eye, probably. But, well, maybe it was a worthwhile trade, all things considered. "I'll be honest; I don't miss it that much. Or at least I don't miss the head splitting migraine I always got when it decided to make itself known." One always followed the other like the cute little double team they were. He'd been doing fine without it, hadn't he? "Plus, it's kind of nice not being the Chosen One and all that." He made air quotes at that particular terminology. While everyone fussed over fame and heroism, he was quite happy to be rid of it.
'Course he'd still do the job, but still.
Was it more trouble than it was worth? Yeah, probably. But Sephiroth would also have a really nice bounty on him, and well, look around, Alex could use the money right now. Especially now that Cassandra had abandoned him to the wolves! To go run off with some... floozy competition...! "But yeah, you're right. But when don't I get into more trouble than it's worth? And drag you into it, for that matter." Granted, while they never involved her too directly, she did usually get wrapped up in whatever harebrained scheme was going on. But to the credit of the Scions, they at least had yet to get her killed. They just needed to keep that going, right? Still, he wasn't one to just give up that easily. "But, well, let's try. I know the friends that are looking for the friends well enough, maybe it can work through them." Although in that case, wouldn't it just be easier to get Noctis or Prompto?
Probably.
Which meant that it was probably a good idea to ask her a least. "Though I guess that means that you'd need them and not me, right? One of them lives here. Kid by the name of Prompto." Prompto was... a good lad. Very hard for him to work with but he was still a good child. "Do uh... do be careful with him. I seem to shove my foot in my mouth with him every five minutes." He admitted, throwing his hands up. Prompto just seemed to get awkward around him no matter what he did. Was it just bad luck or what? It did kind of drive him nuts, if he was being honest.
Matoya creased her brow at his statement. She turned her eyes from him to an insignificant spot on the floor. No Echo? Normal as anyone else now? She supposed that meant they were far removed from Hydaelyn and the laws of their universe. But, he didn’t need to be such a braggart about it. “Alright, alright. I get your meaning and all the perks that you found to follow.” She huffed at him and tried to ponder on this dilemma. “It doesn’t NEED the echo, but it is a focus. You will need to know HOW to look.” The eye itself was simply a highly refined magical tool meant to facilitate one’s ability. [break][break] She rolled her eyes. “Make up your mind. You make it sound everyone is throwing you into trouble, but it sounds like you’re the troublemaker.” She harrumphed and grinned. “Oh no, son. You’re going to explain to him why I’m at his door.” She gave another dry laugh. “And I can’t believe your foot was the only thing you shoved in your mouth. Perhaps you owe him a little bit of an apology. Maybe give him a favor too.” Other than helping him look for his friends, she meant. She shook her head. Honestly, having her meet with strangers. There should at least be an introduction first. [break][break] She stared at him sternly, “And I’ll be as careful or not as I see fit. No use trying to persuade me. It sounds like the kid needs a bit of a backbone.” She turned towards the exit, since the doors were very much off the hinges. “Well, what are you waiting for? Lead the way…” She gestured with her staff, her back hunched. She would like to sit with some tea at some point today. All this standing and walking was doing her joints no reprieve.

One Brings Shadow, One Brings Light
to this riddle, all souls are tied
Alex tried to say something before settling on "No comment." Okay, maybe he had a problem poking his nose into trouble, but the Rising Stones proved that even if he stayed out of trouble, it would come looking for him at some point. Maybe it was some abstract kind of logic; if you seek the trouble out first, then you can get the drop on it and outtrouble the trouble. Right, Matoya was never gonna buy that, and that was an argument he just wasn't going to win. So he was rather happy when she moved right on, for a moment, until she started grilling him over how he had treated Prompto. Which, well, wasn't great, but he was trying, kind of?
An apology sure, but owe him a favor? "It's not like I do it on purpose! The kid just has... issues that I am bad at knowing about and tiptoeing..." Really, really bad. Thoughts flash to his previous extended interaction. Since then he'd been trying to stay out of Prompto's way. It took a few minutes before his shoulders slumped a little and he let out a defeated sigh. "You're probably right, as usual." He was more willing to admit that Matoya might be on to something than others would, but still, there were times... At the very least, he knew where Y'shtola tended to get it from. Was this what the sorceress was going to be like when she got older as well? She was already catty enough as it was!
Still, when she remarked about making the kid grow a backbone, Alex opened his mouth to protest, realized that, no, Prompto could probably use one and the old crone had a way of wringing it out, so he simply nodded in agreement. Yeah, she had a point.
Matoya was already moving but uh, he coughed lightly as she headed for the wrecked door. He'd say nothing about actually going the wrong way, as he felt that was a battle not worth starting, not now. "Well, with me then. He's in the back, I gave him a room so he wouldn't be homeless. Uh... might want to bring a poroggo. He gets all excited when it comes to... he called it an Arr-Pee-Gee? I don't know. Either way I think a frog'll perk him up." Yeah, that uh, seemed like something Prompto would get a kick out of.
