Welcome one and all to our beautiful new skin! This marks the visual era of Adventu 4.0, our 4th and by far best design we've had. 3.0 suited our needs for a very long time, but as things are evolving around the site (and all for the better thanks to all of you), it was time for a new, sleek change. The Resource Site celebrity Pharaoh Leep was the amazing mastermind behind this with minor collaborations from your resident moogle. It's one-of-a-kind and suited specifically for Adventu. Click the image for a super easy new skin guide for a visual tour!
Final Fantasy Adventu is a roleplaying forum inspired by the Final Fantasy series. Images on the site are edited by KUPO of FF:A with all source material belonging to their respective artists (i.e. Square Enix, Pixiv Fantasia, etc). The board lyrics are from the Final Fantasy song "Otherworld" composed by Nobuo Uematsu and arranged by The Black Mages II.
The current skin was made by Pharaoh Leap of Pixel Perfect. Outside of that, individual posts and characters belong to their creators, and we claim no ownership to what which is not ours. Thank you for stopping by.
Alex seemed compelled to correct her. "Actually I've been told I'm a great baritone. I just can't do shanties or anything like that. Operas seem to be more where I can shine." It's just no one ever did anything like that, it was just tavern songs or something else like that. "And honestly, I would have been fine. I've taken much, much worse than a fall. It just kind of disorients me for a little bit." If nothing else, he was a bit of a cockroach. It took poison to actually kill him in another timeline. But beyond that, nothing ever really seemed to stick, as if he was made of iron. But he continued to listen, and just a little bit more, he came to appreciate his current company, it was enlightening.
Well, that was something at least, something that perked him up. "Sephiroth." He said the name out loud. "His ass is going to be paying me off forever." Or, well, at least until the damage was repaired and paid for. Oh-hoho, no, he would not let this one be sliding away. Now he had an identity. Besides, it was just a dumbass with a katana, he was pretty sure that he could take Sephiroth. How bad could it be? Still, it did change his demeanor somewhat as he loosened up a little, and gave her a "Thank you." See? Alexander could be personally reasonable at times, one just had to actually be nice to him at first, and not give him grief over things he had no control over! Probably. Well, mostly, he'd still find some way to infuriate the flower girl at some point, that just how it be sometimes.
But as he continued to follow her lead, he did press a little; "And the other?" So, there had been some gears turning in his head about that. A couple theories, at least. "Unless the blonde guy is just some insane, serial killing asshole, there's a reason he attacked Sephiroth. You know anything about that?" And most people didn't just randomly attack others. Zenos did, but Zenos was a horribly insane monster that had--yeah, it had never been pretty with Zenos around. And he had his doubts that this blonde guy would just be another Zenos, because Zenos was a special brand of crazy. Which also meant that chances were the blonde guy at least knew of Sephiroth, if not knew him outright.
[attr="class","ayab-text"] A great baritone? Aerith barely held back the snort at that comment. He really did have a rather inflated sense of himself from what she could tell so far. Confidence was all well and good to have, but he seemed to border on sheer arrogance. It had her wondering how he had made it this far without being arrested somehow. Or perhaps he just ran into people like her who helped more than they really should. One day it really was going to cost her! Then again, it seemed it had at some point, since she had been killed in Cloud's memory. Aerith found that somewhat unpleasant to think about and rather confusing as well. How many timelines existed exactly? Was it an infinite thing? An endless river with endless currents to choose from? "I'll take your word for it." [break][break]
Somehow, she felt somewhat sorry for the swordsman now. But she really should warn Alexander before he thought himself easily able to contend with the man. "Don't go looking to pick a fight with him. I don't know what you're capable of, but Sephiroth isn't someone to underestimate. He was the greatest SOLDIER in my world for a reason," she warned with narrowed eyes. The young woman had no wish to cross paths with Sephiroth if it could be helped. There was also the question if it was the same version of him she had known. Cloud had told her the story of his memories until the end of his journey, and she had been brought forth before some of those events had taken place for her. It was entirely possible this Sephiroth was the one from before the Nibelheim fire and he had lost his sanity. Food for thought! [break][break]
"The other could be anyone, I guess. You said your friend looked like him and you were running around with a giant sword just a moment before. All I can say is that Sephiroth made a lot of enemies, so it could be anyone from my world," Aerith explained easily enough. The digs at Cloud were certainly wrong, but she was not about to send this man after Cloud. Not until she got the entire story from her friend first, anyway! But her main reason for guiding him along soon came into view, so she dragged him forward to lead him towards the station with a bright smile. [break][break]
"And here we are~! One station without any guards catching you!" Aerith let his arm slip from hers as she clasped her hands behind her back and smiled. "Feel free to thank me again! Now, I should be heading back to fix what I can. Maybe I'll see you again sometime! Hopefully, without you falling in on me again."
Well, okay, he wouldn't go and just attack him. He'd give Sephiroth a chance to come peacefully work the debt off. Of course, it was going to happen one way or another. Whether Sephiroth agreed to do the work or he had to be dragged there kicking and screaming, Alexander would have it done. "I've dealt with my fair share of jerks before. I'm an Adventurer. It's what I do." Of this, he was confident. Well, he did leave out being a godslaying Warrior of Light and all that. Best not to tip that hand. If she thought it false bravado, then so be it. She could think he was a chump. Surely though, it wasn't false bravado. Surely Alexander Sorel could take on Sephiroth and come out on top. There was no possible way that something like that could go horribly wrong, right?
At least he can't be as dangerous as Zenos. He assured himself. Totally.
But, they were here, and he was surprised at how fast it'd gone. No issues, nothing. It seemed that she was rather talented at weaving her way through the city. A thank you was in order? He blinked at her for a moment. "Huh? Oh, yeah, thanks." Wait, heading back to fix what she could. Uh-huh. She really might want to just consider casting cure spells or something on them, there was no way her hands were going to do it if he had heard right. But, well, he'd lay off. He'd gotten where he needed to go. No need to keep Prompto waiting any longer than he already had with the detour. He looked at the station and back at her. "If you're ever looking for work, I'm in Provo. With how things are, I could probably use a decorator." If she really was good, then, well, there was an opportunity to actually get paid. Granted, he wasn't entirely sure.
Really the extra hands cleaning up would just be nice.
Still, he turned around and was at least able to get his equipment back with relatively little fuss. Though the guard seemed to sneer at him a bit for even existing. Right, all well and good, he had a bird and a boy to get back to.
