She shrugged, but then her apathy turned to mirth as the boy asked if they were super religious. The summoner laughed, not an altogether pleasant sound. It was almost as if she’d forgotten how. “Why, I suppose you could say so. All life surrounded Yevon.” Her lips curled into a smirk. “And there, I was daughter of a god. Here? Who knows. Only time will tell.” [break][break]
Summoning the camera from nothing actually managed to shock and surprise her. Her brow furrowed and she stared at the boy in a mix of confusion and grudging respect. Perhaps there was more to this babbling kid than met the eye. “Neat trick,” she obliged, “But all machina is sin. Or so say the teachings of Yevon.” She shrugged her elegant shoulders, silver hair spilling down as she did so. “Perhaps the teachings of Yunalesca will say otherwise.” [break][break]
No, Yunalesca did not know. Prince, she understood. Lucian was a term foreign to her. Same with astrals, but through context she assumed those were like the aeons. “We call them aeons,” she said. “But the concept sounds the same. I summon them to assist in battle.” No matter that she hadn’t tried yet here in Zephon. Surely it would work the same? Her calm, collected facade briefly faltered. Zaon?
