Sorry, I'm so bad at things like this xD Hopefully its okay!
Mu explained the appearance of the strange thing that had appeared as nothing more than a companion; one that couldn’t physically do anything. Angeal nodded, with little desire to have the man explain anything further. He’d never seen anything like it, of course, but it would be useless to prod at the issue any further. Maybe it was just something people around here could do, seeing as how he was in a …
Well, a different world.
Instead, the Soldier turned his gaze to the city around him. The atmosphere was grey and gloomy, despite the colorful signs and buildings along the path. The people along the street hardly paid him any mind, mixing a combination of relief and anxiety in his gut. Were these people simply used to seeing strangers on the daily? Or, did he blend in? Only occasionally would Angeal see someone’s gaze turn his way, if only for a second, and it tended to land on the sword on his back rather than himself. Mixed in with the strangers on the street appeared to be a guard of some sort -- men armed, wearing matching uniforms, their steely stares familiar yet foreign all the same.
The crowd began to thin out, and the further down the blocks the pair walked, the less people they saw. The sounds of the city dwindled away, giving way to the chilly air and natural silence of the dark. Their boots crossed the entrance of some sort of park. Angeal frowned as his boot made contact with a wadded up newspaper, his gaze following the trail of debris and trash. The area was clearly neglected; littered to the brim with junk, shrubby weeded grass overgrown and tree limbs too long. In a way, it reminded him of the slums of Midgar; derelict, but still used.
Important, maybe, to someone.
Suddenly, through the still air, came a woman’s cry for help.
Angeal’s gloved hand immediately went to his sword as Mu trusted he’d heard the cry as well. The Soldier nodded, following along as Mu traced the source of the sound. There was a man nearby, wielding a hefty gun, and a blonde woman trapped by his presence. The woman was trapped behind another tree as the man loomed over her; his wicked intentions evident across his face.
The firearm made it more of a delicate situation than Angeal would normally have to deal with. Soldiers dealt less with hostage situations, used more for brute force. Of course, he could be as stealthy as anyone else -- it was in his training after all. But, one wrong move that spooked the man, and he could easily pull the trigger on his target before they reached her.
Crouched behind the tree where Mu had signaled him, Angeal shifted his weight, considering his options. It would be best to either pull the man’s attention away from the woman, or to silently ambush him. Unsure of his companion’s skill set, the Soldier looked to Mu, whispering very quietly, “He might shoot the hostage if we startle him. We need to disarm him before he detects us.”

"He might shoot the hostage if we startle him. We need to disarm him before he detects us.”
"I am not entirely sure of that. I find it peculiar that he would come all the way out, just to shoot her. The situation with the guard makes doing such without detection rather easy. But I do agree that disarming him is in our best interest." They wouldn't want him to shoot on an impulse now would they? "But fret not, being undetected is something that is a specialty of mine. You could say that it's something I have down to a science," Keimusho responds to Angeal. Well that was a given. It was the value associated the most with shinobi after all. What was a ninja if he was not stealthy? In fact, the ninja was certain that he could simply knock the man out and be done with it. However, the ninja felt that interrogation was in order, which is why Angeal's presence could be beneficial towards this situation. "I'll disarm him, if you'll subdue him," he whispered to Angeal. "Once the firearm is out of his possession, get ready to move in," he continues.
The ninja would make use of the Hide techinique, turning himself invisible. The Au Ra would proceed to slowly creep towards the armed individual in question. Because this area was far from clean, with each step Keimusho made, he would also ensure that his feet would not make contact with the trash surrounding them. Aluminum cans, crumbled newspapers, the butts of cigars, and potato chip bags were just some of the things he would avoid. With a puff of smoke the shinobi appeared next to the man who's eyes widened. "The hel-" Before the individual could process the situation, the shinobi kicked the musket from his grasp.
Mu seemed to misunderstand him, but they were indeed on the same page. Startling a man who had his finger near the trigger was an outright terrible idea, as people move on impulse when surprised. Hostage situations were common in Soldier training, though typically more rare in the field itself. Thankfully, it seemed his ninja-like companion was well equipped for sneaking about.
Angeal watched with a silent, awed-interest as Mu vanished from sight. Was it some sort of spell, or technology he hadn’t seen? Either way, the man was no longer visible, and the Soldier turned his attention to their suspect, musket still in hand. The panicked, quiet cries from the woman tore at his heartstrings, despite all the training he had not to act on impulse. It was hard, listening to suffering.
In mere moments, Mu reappeared, next to the man in a puff of smoke. The man was surprised, but the weapon was removed from his grasp, and Angeal moved in. He quickly ran to the man, a quick speed despite his size, and placed a powerful hit to the man’s solar plexus. The perpetrator immediately doubled over from the force, gasping for the air that had been displaced from his lungs. Expertly, Angeal tugged the pained man from the ground, shoving him against the tree and holding his arms behind his back to keep him from moving.
Angeal glanced back at Mu, nodding his head toward their captured individual, silently telling him to proceed with his questions. The woman at the base of the tree stared, her eyes wide and mouth agape, immobilized by the sudden turn of events. The Soldier gave her a small smile, “It’s alright now, miss. You’re safe.”

As expected Angeal would take down the individual after Mu knocked the gun out of his hand. A single strike to the gut from Angeal was enough to come towards the intended result. After the blow was inflicted, Angeal would pin him against a tree, preventing any movement from the large man. Without a word, he signaled towards Mu to start questioning the individual, something of which he would oblige. The ninja would lock eyes with the individual in question with a cold-eyed stare. What was added to this individual's pain and heavy breathing was a hint of trepidation.
"Would you like to explain why you felt the need to corner this woman as you did?" the ninja asks. As he finally managed to catch his breath, the subdued man mutters, "W-why would I tell you? It's none of your business." The ninja raises an eyebrow. "You are not in a position to refuse. You DO realize that do you not?" the ninja responds.
Suddenly the burly man started visibly hyperventilating and said, "Ok! Ok! She owes me money that's why.""Money for what exactly?" the ninja asks. "A gun. From the black market," he responds. "From a black market?... Is this true?" Keimusho asks as he turns towards the previously cornered woman. "Y-yes. It was protect my family. But the gun wasn't functioning properly so I never paid," she responds. "I never said that the gun worked now did I?!" the burly man barked as he momentarily forgot the situation he was in.
The gun didn't work? Was this some kind of scam then? That was low, even for black market standards. But then again Keimusho supposed that it took all sorts of criminals to operate such a place: those that are violent and those that swindle. The ninja looked towards Angeal, curious on his thoughts on the matter.
Mu was quick to take over interrogating their suspect. The man hardly squirmed underneath Angeal’s tight grasp, still catching his breath as his body recovered from the impact of the Soldier’s hit. The perpetrator was well aware he wouldn’t be able to get away, not easily at all. Not with two of them there to keep him pinned until all of his truths were spilled.
At first, the man didn’t want to tell why he’d been clearly threatening the woman who was still sitting there, watching the events unfold. However, as Angeal placed more pressure against the man’s back, and Mu’s stare practically bore a hole in the man’s consciousness, the guilty party broke. The woman owed him money? Angeal narrowed his glowing eyes at the back of the man’s head.
However, the truth was even more sinister and complex. She owed him money because she’d bought a gun from him to protect her family. A gun that didn’t work. So she never paid.
It sounded all too much like the slums of Midgar. Angeal frowned, wondering for a moment if he truly was in a different world. Or, if they were all the same.
Mu seemed to want to collect his thoughts on the matter though, and Angeal sighed. He loosened his grip on the man -- not enough to let him be free, but enough to stop squeezing the life out of him -- before glancing at the woman, “You can’t protect yourself from crime with crime. You’re only feeding into the cycle.”
Still, the man did threaten her life. He, at least, needed to be detained by the authorities. Angeal looked back to Mu, before gesturing at their captive with a nod, “Are there any police here we could take him to? If he’s willing to kill over a bad sale, something tells me he doesn’t need to be on the streets.”
As for the woman … What could he say? From the sounds of it, she just wanted to keep her family safe. Were the streets of this city really that dangerous? Was there no one there, to take care of the people?

“Are there any police here we could take him to? If he’s willing to kill over a bad sale, something tells me he doesn’t need to be on the streets.” Angel asked Mu. "The best that we could do is hand them over to Sonoran authorities. I'm not sure how long they would keep him in custody but I am sure that the experience would be enough to make him think twice on pulling a stunt such as this a second time," the Au Ra responds.
"That aside I have more of a concern on that black market he mentioned," he continue. The shinobi turned towards the musket that he kicked out of the captive's hand. It definitely was the real deal unlike the fake that he tried selling to the woman. "I think that I should investigate this black market of his. I trust that you can get him to the authorities?" he asked Angeal. He turned to the woman. "Since you live here. You should be more versed on where everything is than I. Would you kindly guide him on where to go?" The woman silently nodded. He handed to gun over to the woman. "Here. Use it only to defend yourself," he emphasized.
"You can't do that!" The captive yelled out. The shinobi gave him a cold stare. "...You have a problem with that?" he responds. There was no response given. The individual simply lowered his head in silence. It seemed that he realized the position that he was in and that there was no way that he'd get that gun back, not that he'd need it where he's going.
"I suppose that I should get a move on. Good luck on your future endeavors Angeal," the shinobi says, "Peace!" the Au Ra's anima companion says before the two vanish with a puff of smoke.
