Torenstein. The 'melting pot' where all gather, where the upper class reside. It was no surprise why it was called the melting pot; all of different walks of lives and races lived in this particular city. Though he has never been to that particular place back in Eorzea, it admittedly reminded him of Revenant's Toll and Idyllshire, two places where adventurers of all walks gather, or even dwell. The Lord Commander wondered if the atmosphere of Torenstein would be similar to Revenant's Toll and Idyllshire. Ah, did his wanderlust itch so much. [break][break] The azure clad Elezen found himself in the vast market, so wide that it may just straight up rival the market stalls of Ul'dah, where it is known for being the merchant city where 'they turn sand into gold'. He has only seen these famous markets of Ul'dah briefly, on that particular fateful day where the bloody banquet happened. Though Aymeric was not here to see the gruesome events unfold before his very eyes, what he has learned from Merlwyb and Kan-E gave chills down his spine on what has went down after he was called back to Ishgard. [break][break] All sorts of merchants were showing off their wares, attempting to get a customer or two to get the money to feed themselves as well as their families, if they have any that is. One stall to another, there were much to be intrigued at, especially at things Aymeric himself has never seen before. As he got lost within the various merchandise sold, the elezen felt a tap on his shoulder, prompting him to turn around. [break][break] "Ah, yes, how may I help you?"

After what Yuna had learned from Declan about the fate of Spira, she had every intention of leaving Torensten for a while. After working for so long to defeat Sin, she didn’t know how to handle the news that not only had Sin been defeated, but that she had been the one to do it and bring about the eternal calm. The news was so overwhelming that she hadn’t even been able to bring herself to share it with Caius or Celes yet. Some time by herself to mull over the information would be best. Maybe then her memories of the latter half of her pilgrimage would start to return.
Still, she would need supplies. Yuna wasn’t sure how long that she would be gone, so she visited the marketplace the day before her intended departure. The crowded stalls were overwhelming, but it was the type of anonymity that she preferred, so she gratefully picked out her rations and camping supplies as she traveled down the bustling streets.
After an hour or so of shopping, Yuna was getting ready to head home when a regally dressed man across the street caught her eye. His armor marked him as a warrior, and his brunette waves nearly hid the tips of his pointed ears that made Yuna tilt her head slightly. She assumed that meant that he was part of another race that she hadn’t seen before, but that wasn’t what made her cross the street towards him a bit hesitantly. She recognized the lost expression on his face as he glanced a bit despairingly at all the market stalls.
“Excuse me,” Yuna murmured, lightly tapping his shoulder to gain the man’s attention. “I’m so sorry to bother you. I’m Yuna.” She circled her hands in front of her in the traditional Yevon prayer before giving him a slight bow in greeting. “I don’t mean to be presumptuous, but might you be new here? I...recognize the look from when I was.” She gave the man a slight smile before continuing. “Is there anything I can help you with? I know it can be overwhelming to adjust to a new world.”

He was greeted by a young brunette maiden dressed in a garb akin to what the folks of the Far East, specifically those of Doma or Hingashi would wear. Yet, there was something different about the style of the attire despite the similarities. The gesture she gave as she greeted the Elezen made him think it is some sort of a prayer, again, a similarity in the east, yet something also felt different. Nonetheless, the Lord Commander appreciated the polite approach the Hyuran (or human) maiden made towards him. This woman, Yuna seemed harmless, and Aymeric saw no reason to hide the fact he is a recent arrival here. [break][break] "Yuna you say?" Aymeric hums lightly as he felt the name roll down his tongue as he spoke her name. A graceful, yet simple sounding name, he mused as he proceeded to answer her question.[break] "Tis a pleasure to meet you Yuna. My name is Aymeric, and it is indeed correct that I am new, admittedly," A smile formed upon his lips as the Elezen introduced himself with a small bow in exchange. He wasn't sure if holding out a handshake would be impolite in her customs, thus, the Lord Commander decided to go with a bow for the sake of now. [break][break] She wasn't wrong when she noted it is hard to adjust in a new world. Aymeric himself would not deny that fact; this was an entirely different world from his own. Though the recent events have lead him outside of his home nation of Ishgard (before the changes fell into his nation, he barely ever ventured outside of the capital, aside diplomatic meetings in the neighboring nation of Gridania.), the Elezen was still admittedly realizing how sheltered he is, and he has yet to fully get a full grasp on the world around him. The new races he has never met before, the different cities, everything, it was admittedly overwhelming.[break] "I will appreciate your guidance my lady. I must admit from my own upbringing, I am quite sheltered, and I am afraid I do not have a full grasp on the world we now stand upon. If you may, I will gladly request your helping hand"
The brunette man with the pointed ears seemed to have a noble upbringing. His words rolled off his tongue in a charismatic manner that reminded her of how a maester of Yevon would have spoken, and a slight smile lit up her face as he introduced himself with a bow. That wasn’t really customary anywhere in Zephon that she’d been to yet, so she appreciated the gesture. It felt a little like being back home.
“Nice to meet you, Aymeric.” She wasn’t surprised to hear the confirmation that he was new to Torensten—It wasn’t hard to spot someone who was from another world originally like she was. Between their clothes and mannerisms, they stood out until they’d integrated more into society. Yuna wasn’t sure that she herself had reached that point yet.
Aymeric accepted her offer of help, and Yuna nodded as she began moving along the path close to the market stalls again—She didn’t want to block the walkways any longer than she had to now that their introductions were out of the way. “Do you have somewhere to stay here yet?” She asked as a baseline. She was happy to show him the ropes, but she needed to know how she could best help him first. “If not, I know a few good places you can rent for relatively cheap. Some of them even lower the bill in exchange for work…” Judging from his elaborate outfit, Aymeric had likely been wealthy in his world, but any coin that he had on him may or may not work in Zephon. Yuna had learned that herself the hard way.
“Or if you’re looking for work, there are always quests that need done.” She hesitated, glancing at the ornate sword at his side before continuing. “Especially with a sword, since there can be a lot of fiends in the area…I’m actually in a mercenary guild called the Dragonblades if you need a place to start.” She didn’t think that Caius or Celes would mind her bringing someone new around, even though recruitment wasn’t technically in her area. Still, that was completely up to Aymeric and what he wanted to do.
At this point, Yuna felt like she had been doing the talking for a while, so she flushed slightly before glancing up at the brunette man next to her a little sheepishly. “And you? What’s it like where you’re from?” He had mentioned that he had lived a fairly sheltered life, so she was curious about how his world was set-up. Not to mention that his pointed ears marked him as a race that Yuna had never seen before, but she didn’t think it would be polite to ask about that.
