She is like a cat in the dark
And then she is the darkness
And then she is the darkness
Ultimecia simply watched as the lame thing sputtered and crawled in the dirt. A fitting place for a worm. Her hate for the thing grew as it cried and whined and pleaded. How man could only know disdain and callousness until it was they who became the persecuted and hunted. It was beyond pitiful; it was disgusting. She raised her hand to snuff the life out of the thing, but stopped remembering that she was waiting. Waiting for the boy to realize and know the same feelings she was musing over. She merely hmpfed as he played with the worm like a cat pawing at a toy.
"All men deserve death," she mused as her eyes narrowed at the winged one. "Do you believe he would look to you as savior if he was in any condition to look down upon you? Do you believe the common man would not look upon you as monster the same way those trained for war are?" Ultimecia paced over the man crawling and failing slowly. She stepped on his face dragging the claw of her paw across its cheek as blood spilled from it. "Does this blood not run through the likes of all men regardless of class?" She kicked him hard causing him to roll over before staring at the boy.
"The same blood that runs through you?" she warned her tone cool and calm. A cold low laugh escaped her as she turned from him. Normally she would have killed them both, the worm for being what it was, and the boy for his hesitation. However the need to find answers outweighed her desire to still both their hearts, and hadn't the blonde failed her time after time until he did one thing right. It was easier to cast aside puppets later than it was to find new ones. "I'll be watching and awaiting your decision," she laughed once again as it echoed in the night as she disappeared from sight. The boy would come for her if he truly desired what he said. If not, it wouldn't be that hard to extinguish his light. What did it matter to her if it was now or later?
