We can get down like there's no one around
Bartz could have sworn there was supposed to just be one Genesis. He rubbed his eyes hard and his vision began to come back into focus as he beamed up at the man. It was like his smile had been permanently etched onto his face except for the small grimaces as his stomach tossed and turned. He needed to just lie down soon, but he'd be damned if he wasn't going to make sure his new pal wasn't feeling his very best. Just to be safe, Bartz just shrugged and blushed when Genesis wondered why he was such a handsome pretty good person. Normally he'd feel awkward and try to brush the comment off, but right now he was living for it.
Bartz sighed in relief as Genesis finally decided to stop being self concious and come sit on the bed with him. "That's fair," Bartz laughed as Genesis threatened to throw him out the window shooting him a thumbs up as he drank the last of the whiskey. Bartz was no stranger to crawling out of windows as a way to escape and awkward or tense situation as long as they were on the ground, but as of now he'd never been tossed out of one. Bartz took a quick glance out the window, and he had to look quickly away before his vertigo set in. Nope, he'd make sure he wouldn't vomit that was for sure. He just needed to stay still.
Thankfully the opportunity presented itself as Genesis lay on the bed. Bartz seized the opportunity to lay down as well. He laid his head on Genesis' chest draping his arm round to the the other side of him doing his best not to touch the man's wing. "Look who's talking," he complimented as he was called handsome again. Bartz had just begun to close his eyes when Genesis asked the his question. How to be less of a bitch? Bartz opened his and hmmed for a minute as he thought of what to say feeling comfort in the rise and fall of the man's breathing.
"Well," he drawled the word coming out way slower than it should as his mind tried to churn out something profound, "letting me stay the night off the street was a great first step. If you were as mean as you think you are, you'd have turned me out after you got bored with me rather than promise that." Bartz nuzzled closer as he continued to think. As warm as he was the body heat of another person was weirdly calming and comforting. "Hmmm. Sometimes you just gotta believe that people are good and want to do good things including yourself. I don't think a lot either; I prefer to live in the moment. Staying cooped up in here," Bartz took a finger and tapped at Genesis' forehead, "at least for me tends to over complicate things."
"I think that's enough for now though," Bartz said giving Genesis a light peck on his chin before lying his head back down on his chest squeezing him tighter into an embrace closing his eyes again content. "Like I said too stuffy to think about right now. Let's just live this moment."
